x2go hang on CentOS7

Hi, I've used x2go on a number of systems without problem in the past, however on a CentOS7 server running SSSD to provide AD authentication I'm seeing clients (both Windows and Linux) just hang when trying to connect. We are thinking how this could be changed in a way that doesn't break the current expected behavior, yet still allows forcing a new session in parallel to the suspended one. Possible options: Adding ... - a command line parameter - a per-session setting - a global setting - some hack like - right-clicking the tile - right-clicking the OK button - an option in the pull-down menu of the tile ... to enforce a parallel connection when desired. x2goclient & SLITAZ 4.0 / 5.0

Hello all, I don't know if someone knows SLITAZ (http://www.slitaz.org/en/) - it's an extreme small Linux OS build from scratch but with similarities to Debian / Ubuntu. It has it's own package manager but it is possible to convert .deb packages to SLITAZ-packages. I did this with - x2goclient_4.0.1.1-1~bpo7+1_i386.deb I could install this package and everything is looking fine - but: When I start a connection it is build up but than immediately closed. x2go with SSH two-factor authentication

Hi! My employer use two-factor authentication via Yubikey. Whenever I SSH to my development server, I use Kerberos to authenticate, and then it prompts for a Yubikey or Duo code. If I try to connect via the X2Go client, I get a message like this: Authentication failed. Check your GSSApi configuration or choose another authentication method. Checking the logs on the server, it looks like Kerberos auth is successful, but then X2Go is disconnecting once it receives the keyboard-interactive auth request. I managed to get it working using a super hacky method: I connect to my server via my regular SSH client, and forward some random port (eg. 1234) to localhost:22. Then I connect to localhost:1234 in X2Go, essentially tunneling a new SSH connection over the existing SSH connection. The server is configured to allow local connections to bypass two-factor auth, so this works around the issue in X2Go. It seems silly to tunnel SSH over SSH though. Any ideas on how to get this working properly with X2Go? It looks like Paramiko supports this configuration: https://github.com/paramiko/paramiko/pull/467 Thanks!

X2go extension questions

Hi, I am running x2go client 4.0.5.1 on a windows machine and connecting to a RedHat rhel 6 machine using x2go from the default yum repo. I am trying to create custom extensions for our local needs but am having some issues. Documentation is rather light on this so I hope you guys can shed some light? First, in the "fail" modalities: are these critical failures? Does the X2Go session in question survive a failure state? Next, I have written very simple extension shell scripts that just write the result of the "x2golistsessions" command to syslog and have put these extensions in each of the modality dirs. I have noticed that the "pre" & "post" "start" scripts do NOT report the process ID of the active session - the is an x2go "sessionID" but not a PID. When is the PID assigned? I have done a quick search through the source but it didn't jump out at me. Lastly, as mentioned above, I most often connect to a linux box from a windows desktop. I have had occasion to have the desktop -> linux connection going and then connect from a windows laptop into the same linux machine at the same time and as the same username. The two connections seem to get merged/confused. Is this normal? Dean...K...

problem with x2goagent and Sysv5 shared memory segments

Hi All, We have encountered a strange problem: x2goagent on the server would eat up all the System5 shared memory segments when running a particular Java GUI application. After that any other processes doing shared memory would naturally fail. When the user connects, everything is as usual; then when Java program is opened and starts working (dataset is loaded, some graphics based on it displayed, several threads started to process the data) it quickly uses over 4K of the shared memory segments. Problems with Clipman in Ubuntu 14.04

Hello everyone, I have a server running Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS (GNU/Linux 4.2.0-41-generic x86_64) with XFCE4 desktop and LTSP for my ThinClients. When logged into the server via ThinClient / LTSP the Clipman-Plugin in the XFCE panel is working as expected. When I connect to this server via x2go (same user and tried it with different users) everything is working fine (sound / usb etc.) BUT not the Clipman-plugin. It's light grey and if I copy something this is not transferred to the clipman (copy and paste works but I have no history - the benefit of the plugin ...). I tried it with parcellite as well as clipit, glipper its always the same and I absolutely need this feature ... Does somebody know this problem / has a hint? Regards Christian -- C. X applications fail after su - on x2go connection

When I am connected to a Debian server through x2go, my X applications work. When I su - user2 then try any X application they don't work. For example emacs will start in terminal mode and java applications give errors such as java.lang.InternalError: Can't connect to X11 window server using ':52' as the value of the DISPLAY variable When I echo $DISPLAY before the su -, :52 is the correct display. I have several other machines that do not have this problem. How do I fix it so that X works through x2go after su -.

Client Printing not working!

The client can be debian or windows 7, both the same problem! However, no client side dialogue appears. Running the x2goclient with --debug does indeed give verbose logging, BUT nothing during the time of submitting the print job! What is wrong? My setup? I can't find anything... Bug? What is the mechanism to trigger the client's printing dialog?? It does not seem to get triggered. Also, there is no file left over in the client's spool directory.
