installing and running x2goserver on a slackware64 linux system

Hi all, I am trying to get the x2goserver to work on slackware. I have downloaded the source tarball v4.0.1.19 , compiled and installed it. Then on a windows 7 pc , I installed x2goclient and PyHOCA-gui. I tried both to no avail. A session seems to be created but nothing shows up on the screen (note that I am trying to run a simple command: either "startfluxbox" or "xterm"). I changed loglevel to "debug" in /etc/x2go/x2goserver.conf I logged (tail -f) under /var/log , the files : debug , syslog , messages , while starting a new session. This <http://codepad.org/AeQOQenR>is what came up. The only out of the ordinary I see here is that , It seems port ffwd from localhost to itself are not allowed by sshd . How can that be? Firewall allows all local connections iptables -A INPUT -i lo -j ACCEPT openssh server allows X11 forwarding X11Forwarding yes so why would the sshd connection fail? Also is this the problem or is there something else I may have overlooked? Note that for slackware I had to add a few perl modules: cpan install Config::Simple cpan install DBD::SQLite cpan install File::ReadBackwards cpan install Capture::Tiny cpan install Unix::Syslog then I run x2godbadmin --createdb after that seems to be " running" (for example I checked x2goversion). PyHoca-GUI Can't Find Home Directory

Hello, I am trying to use PyHoca-GUI to connect from my Windows 7 machine to my Linux machine. Whenever I try to do so, I get the following message: "The remote user's home directory does not exist" I am able to connect using the standard X2Go client and ssh without any issues. Any ideas what could be causing this? Here are the versions I'm using: PyHoca-GUI: 0.5.0.4 X2go: 4.0.5.0 Server: 4.0.1.15-0x2go1+git20140615.847+wheezy.main.1 Best Regards, Matt

Random Disconnects

I apologize in advance for starting a new thread but I accidentally deleted the original post. I posted several days ago about sessions dropping randomly even though network connectivity was good, CPU light on the host, etc. I have discovered another factor, this only happens when I have multiple x2go clients connected to different hosts up simultaneously. ssh kex error

hi, i'm not able to connect to my new hardened gentoo server using x2go. X2GoServer on New Ubuntu 15.04

I just recently put together a new server based on an I7-6700k with Ubuntu 15.04 as the operating system. I am having some difficulties with the x2goserver 4.0.1.19-0~1064~ubuntu15.04.01. My client periodically tells me no response from the remote server and disconnects. I simultaneously have the same workstation with x2go clients connected to other servers, including other Ubuntu 15.04 servers, at the same location and they do not randomly disconnect. Sound Ubuntu 15.04

The sound problems with X2Go with a Ubuntu 15.04 server turned out to be kernel related. The 3.19.0-30 kernel is problematic for some reason. Start Up Scripts Not Being Sourced

If I connect using NX plugin with Remmina to freenx-server, /etc/profile and related start up scripts all get sourced properly. Warning message about a Xubuntu dist-upgrade

Hi !! So, i have a curious issue with a system update. I've done a snapshot from my X2Go server wich work on a Xubuntu 14.04 64 bits system at 24/09/2015. Everyting works great on it : Firefox, Thunderbird, Qgis, Libreoffice. Friday 02/10/2015 i've done a dist-upgrade on Xubuntu. A new kernel (65) comes. After that, I've got a i/o error on Firefox, Thunderbird, and Qgis opened but menus don't work. Libreoffice seems to be good. When I restore the snapshot, no problem appear. So next step is to identify the origin of this issue. When I launch an apt-get upgrade, the problems appear again.
