Testers Wanted: PyHoca-GUI for Windows 0.5.0.4-20150125

Hello X2Go users, See the previous email I sent below. PyHoca-GUI 0.5.0.4 was just released with very few changes compared to 0.5.0.3. So I will not be making any new 0.5.0.3 builds. I did manage to fix the bug with Pageant authentication (bug #767) after 0.5.0.4 was released. New build of X2Go Client for OS X: 4.0.3.1-20150131

Problems accessing broker server

Greetings, Suddenly, after rebooting our broker server, I'm not able to access the configurations hosted by the broker server. When I look in the logs, I see something similar to the following: [Wed Jan 28 15:58:19 2015] [error] [client 192.168.204.69] (13)Permission denied: mod_wsgi (pid=3796): Unable to connect to WSGI daemon process 'x2gobroker' on '/var/run/apache2/wsgi.3785.0.1.sock' after multiple attempts. Would anyone have any suggestions as to how I can resolve this? Thanks! -- Kermit Short

Hi, Mike announced the release of the latest pyhoca-gui, I always have to browse around to get the latest. Can someone point the link on the homepage ( http://wiki.x2go.org/ ) where it says "Get X2Go" to the correct (latest) release? I would also advise not to use anything like "PyHoca-GUI_latest_mswin32-setup.exe" because that doesn't give us the version in the filename. (it can get outdated quick) The link could poin to the current "latest": http://code.x2go.org/releases/binary-win32/pyhoca-gui/releases/0.5.0.4-2015… Regards, Kristof.

Building x2goclient from sources

Display stopped working??

I’m running X2go on a Mac, and connecting to a VM running Fedora 20. It’s been running for a couple of weeks now without any problems. This morning, I typed in the command “gvim” and got a message that the display wasn’t working – it opened vi in the terminal window instead of popping up a new window. The display is working fine… I tried the command ‘xterm’ and got this: [ncohen@ncohen-dev-fedora bin]$ xterm No protocol specified xterm: Xt error: Can't open display: :51 It was working fine 2 minutes ago – system has not been updated or rebooted. SELinux is installed and in permissive mode. I’m not sure if this is something to do with X2go or with Fedora – I’ve never seen it before. Anyone have any idea what might be going on here? Advanced features not tested yet (audio, folder or printer sharing), will try to test today. Regards Bengt

x2goserver ubuntu 14.10

Hi all, I'm fairly new to x2go and I'm using x2goserver on Ubuntu 14.04 (with xfce and mate) and it's working pretty good. (aside from some problems with the client on win8.1) But when using Ubuntu(/Xubuntu) 14.10, it works but the "layout/look-and-feel" is not the same as when I log into the console directly. Also, I get a weird prompt (only when using x2go client) stating "Authenticationis required to change your own user data". I suppose this is due to the login over ssh. (don't get the error on the "console") Any suggestions on how to fix/troubleshoot this? I'd be happy to give more details/logs or test something. I observed the following: If I configure PyHoca-GUI to use my password-protected key file (header below), I get the error: not a valid EC private key file! If I configure PyHoca-GUI to "Discover SSH keys or use SSH agent for X2GO authentication", and then launch Pageant and load my PuTTY-formatted private key into Pageant, I get the error you got: An unknown error occurred during authentication Did you do the latter?
