Two factor authentication using Google linux PAM module and Authenticator App

Hi, I was wondering whether it is possible to implement two factor authentication in X2go? Ie. ssh password based login with the Google two factor authentication Linux PAM module and Google Authenticator App for iOS or Android. Would this be any more secure than using ssh private/public keys? Smart Card Forwarding

Hello, I am looking for a solution to provide secure authentication / mail signing etc on a central place, so I researched the actual available OS-Solutions for this task. I have a smart card reader built into the client which I want to use for: - authentication at the Terminal Server - "taking" my smart card with me to authenticate at further destinations (connection is initiated at the Terminal Server). What I found out is, that the upcoming version of nx can do such a thing and the commercial solutions offer also this functionality (Windows only, Citrix, Oracle SDG …) Is it possible with x2go to forward the smart card (reader) to the terminal server in a secure way to use it for further actions? If yes: What do I need for this? Regards Markus

x2goclient on Windows crashes

Hello, We are trying to run a Java program from x2goclient on Windows in application mode. Using version 4.0.0.3 in Windows XP, x2goclient crashes everytime with the following message: "vcxsrv.exe encountered a problem and needs to close." Using version 4.0.0.3 in Windows 7, it works without any problem. Using the preview version (4.0.1.0-pre02) on Windows XP it works properly most of the time, but sometimes crashes too. Any idea ? Possible problem with printing & newer versions of Adobe Acrobat

Hi All: Has anyone had trouble printing with the newer versions of Adobe acrobat (e.g., "X") with the following symptoms: - connect up to server over ssh from windows (x2go version 4.0.0.3) - open a document from the x2go session and print - on the client, Adobe flashes briefly (if check "Show this dialog before start printing", get the dialog box) - nothing comes out the printer (have tried USB and network printers) As best I can tell, a link is created in the Adobe reader "Open a Recent File" page on the client. If I click on this link in Adobe, I can then open and print the file as long as the x2go session is active. Once I shut down the x2go session, the link no longer works. Also, if I print as a .PDF, the file is generated on the client as a pdf, I can print it, and the file stays on the client. I.e., the print jobs used to go directly to the printer. Currently, I have to "print twice". Not a "hair on fire", but was wondering if there is a way to address this (possibly even in the Adobe settings, but ideally from the server). Does this sound like possibly a change in Acrobat? Or something I need to check on the x2go client or x2go server side? Thanks!

New feature for next PyHoca-GUI release (0.4.0.9): passphrase protected SSH keys

Hi all, today I have added a new (long waited for) feature to PyHoca-GUI. So far, in PyHoca-GUI (python-x2go) it was only possible to use passphrase-protected / encrypted SSH keys via an ssh-agent process that unlocks those keys when being added to the agent's keyring previous to logging into an X2Go Server. Unlocking those keys natively in PyHoca-GUI was not possible so far. -> Now it is!!! The nightly built packages are currently building and the 0.4.0.9 preview of PyHoca-GUI will soon be available for testing this new feature. Within the next couple of days I will add the pendant feature to PyHoca-CLI. Those of you using PyHoca-GUI may test this new feature by encrypting your private key file... $ ssh-keygen -p ... and then using this key file in PyHoca-GUI. Don't add your key(s) to ssh-agent to see the new passphrase dialog pop up. WARNING: Make sure you do not forget the password for unlocking the key, otherwise your key will be lost. It surely is a good idea to make a backup of your SSH key files before playing with this.
