Hi, I went to install x2go server on my squeeze debian server. I uninstalled No machine before. I found the system very long to be connected, in point of comparison.. Note, I resolved this error message : Access denied. Authentication that can continue: publickey,password,keyboard-interactive So I modified my sshd_config file Anybody could give me any advise for solving this problem. What I've to check? Thanks for your support.

We are using gnome-session-fallback as a desktop environment. Unity also has issues. We have tried the following settings with Gnome, Adjustment - Bottom panel fails yes/no adjust screensize: yes mark xinerama: yes set fullscreen: yes set customdesktop: yes use wholedisplay: yes Unfortunately using xfce is not an option because the employees are already working on Gnome for a few years now. And it would be to much of a change for now. I have heard that Unity can be problematic when paired with x2go. Not sure if this is still an issue. I run Ubuntu 12.04 with Unity on my main desktop, and regularly log on to our terminal servers with x2goclient, and don't have the mentioned problem. I would guess that the real problem is that the resolution chosen by x2goclient (by however much space is occupied on your Mac screen), isn't being picked up by Unity. I think that was the problem with Unity before. I think Gnome had the same problems. That is one of the reasons we chose XFCE instead. Hi Anders, Thank you for the quick reply! Good to read that you are not experiencing the same issue. This indeed concerns the bottom-panel of the remote desktop session, not on the Mac itself. We are running a Ubuntu 12.04 desktop. So most likely this is setting on the clientside then? At first the same thing happened when connecting from Ubuntu 13.04 to the Ubuntu desktop, but after enabling Xinerama extension the bottom-panel reappeared. I've tried the same thing on the Mac's without success. Hello, I'm currently implementing a X2GO environment to accommodate Mac Lion OSX users. The client seems to have some issues however, when I start-up a session the bottom-panel is not visible. I've experienced this on two laptops now. Is this really a bug or is it just a setting on the clientside? Thank you in advance! Kind regards, Mervin

remotely open an existing software session

We are running a forex trading program inside of wine on an Edubuntu 12.04 LTSP server. We have 5 test users setup on the server each running their own trading session, each with their own install of the program in wine. The trading program is left running for each user. I can login to any user on the server with x2go but the trading program is not available when I do, even though it is running for that same user on the server. If I try to start the software from the x2go session it briefly flickers ;it it tries to open but quickly dies. Is there any way to "tap" into that same session running on the server once I am logged in? I guess what I am really asking is whether X2go can run just to enable "viewing of that software session? Can't cut/paste from XEmacs to Windows

Hi all, Does anybody have a suggestion for this situation: User reported that he was able to cut/paste from Windows to XEmacs, but unable to cut/paste in the opposite direction from XEmacs to Windows. I verified the problem with the following notes: - The XEmacs copy is a simple X highlight of the text in question. - The copied text from XEmacs is making it to the X clipboard and can be pasted to other X windows - The copied text from XEmacs is not making it to the Windows clipboard. The problem appears specific to copying from XEmacs. Text copied from other X windows behaves as expected. Thanks, Nick

Hi all, Just looking for confirmation of what the latest stable version of the Windows client is? Fullscreen session stops working in unity

Hello, I googled it, but didn't came up with a solution (probably due to wrong searchterms). I am connecting to a x2go server just fine in fullscreen mode. When I minimize the session (using the top right hot corner) and go back, I can't open the window after the second time I did that (minimize & reopen the window). The session still seems to be working & valid, just I can't see the window. I am using x2go-stable from ubuntu ppa on Ubuntu-13.10 with standard unity (no tweaks). Did someone have a similar problem and solved it? Best regards, Markus
