Dear all, The X2Go Project is proud to announce two new X2Go component releases: - x2goserver (3.1.1.0) - x2goclient (3.99.2.0) The new packages will be available in our stable repositories (Debian, Ubuntu) within the next 24h. The windows and Mac OS versions of x2goclient will probably be available tomorrow, as well. (PING: @Mihai, @Oleksandr). The Windows binary may get delay a little longer, as we are currently migrating the Windows development machine to another hoster, so we have to ask for your patience here. On top of that, we have fixed installation of libnx-x11 (Debian package) on 64-bit systems with multi-arch support (i.e. Debian wheezy+sid). Fail to install x2goclient from source - ISO C++ forbids declaration of ‘LDAP’ with no type

I am getting the error bellow when trying to install x2goclient on a armel machine based on ubuntu jaunty. x2go and vnc interconnection

Hello! I am new x2go user. I have one virtual Ubuntu installation (12.04, Gnome) where I have set up x2go server running and I can connect remotly (from other linux or windows desktop systems), have working audio etc, and all this is independent. But also I would like to use any kind of vnc as backup in case where it is not possible to install/use x2go client (ofcourse it is slower, no audio etc) to get and use the same already running x2go session. The best I can with x11vnc is original desktop of this virtual installation but where is nobody logged in most of time. Or with vnc4server I can get a new independent desktop (third one). Does anyone tried and got success in such combination of vnc and x2go virtual sessions? There is also desktop sharing feature in Gnome menu and once activated I can get exactly what I want, but this vnc connection will almost freeze (no more than 2 actions can be done in one minute) after I disconnect my x2go client. Everything is running again after x2go client is reconnected. Yes, I understand, this is vnc related as well as x2go question but...

long delays on Eclipse redisplay

I'm using x2go Windows client 3.99.2.0-rc2 and also the Ubuntu client, connecting to Ubuntu 64-bit x2go version 2:3.5.0.12-0~234~oneiric1, using both gnome-session-fallback and unity-2d sessions. With certain client programs, especially Eclipse, I have noticed a very long delay when a redisplay of the underlying program window is necessary. For instance, when a dialog box that overlaps the main Eclipse window is closed, or a terminal window is put underneath Eclipse, there can sometimes be a 5-30 second delay before Eclipse redraws itself. During that time the whole x2go session is frozen. I looked in all the relevant logs and see nothing. I am not sure this is an x2go problem at all, but I don't remember similar problems with Eclipse and freenx. I've looked for similar Eclipse bugs, but all the ones I found that sounds similar are quite old and supposedly have been fixed. If you have seen this problem with Eclipse or other client programs, I'd be interested to hear about it and if you have a fix. Thanks, Dan

tce how does --haltbt work

Hi all, I still try to build a local thinclient environment for laptops using an window manager. This is necessary because I need a graphical interface for network (wicd) and an power-manager (gnome-power-manager). The x2goclient shall be work as an login-manager as transparent as possible - nearly like on the thinclient environment. While I got usb automount running, I still try to get halt button inside the x2goclient working. When I start the x2goclient with the --haltbt option I got the button inside the x2goclient, but without function. Can anybody help me please in understanding the procedure this is working in the thinclient environment? Which is the command the client sends and what I have to configure?
