PyHoca, X2Go Server (Ubuntu 12.04) sound problems

Hey all, I have a Ubuntu 12.04 Desktop running in an KVM environment with X2Go. Everything is working great but the sound redirection doesn't work. I have assigned a soundcard to the KVM machine which is detected correctly by Ubuntu. First I tried to use PulseAudio as transport in PyHoca but this doesn't worked. I googled a few minutes and found that there are often problems with PulseAudio, so I installed esd to test with esd. This also didn't worked. So for now I don't know what could be wrong. The X2Go server scripts for PyHoca and python-x2go scripts are installed on the server, I can control the sound options on Ubuntu (also in the X2Go session not only from the VNC console) but no sound is there. The client system is Windows 7 at the moment with the newest PyHoca version. Does someone has an idea what could be wrong and what I have to do to get sound input and output to work? Using x2go on different clients

Hi there, Us anyone experience problems with different Ubuntu and Windows 7 environments on client side? I notice two differences when running x2go from Ubuntu and Windows 7: - if you run from the first time after the reboot using from Windows 7 when running the client on Ubuntu your screen will be fullscreen and you can't use the numbers on the numpad keyboard. - if you run from the first time after the reboot from Ubuntu, you cannot use numpad on Windows (and the @ sign) So, if you start your remote computer with one of them, you better not try to use another because some funtions will break. Does anyone know about this problem or something similar? Also, don't know if this helps, but I'm running a Custom desktop with command 'gnome-session --session=gnome-classic' to avoid using Unity on server side. -- Rui Cruz | Webmaster | 968271502 www.ruicruz.pt

Hello, i have testet Ubuntu 12.4 Lts with KDE Backports 4.9.2. http://www.kubuntu.org/news/kde-sc-4.9.2 After the last Fix from Mike it works with the X2go Nightly Builds. http://code.x2go.org/gitweb?p=x2goserver.git;a=commit;h=55d23d3c52f83f81bf9… I have now no Kwin crashes after login! Workarround for dead keys, euro's, etc

Hello, Since some time the dead keys don't work anymore in an X2go session. This seems to be a problem of "xkeyboard-config" from version 2.6. Is there a workarround for this problem? Is it an idea to use an older x2goagent with xkeyboard-config 2.5? Any other nice way to give in special characters like the euro sign? new features and fixes in X2Go Client

Hello list, Last time I made many changes in code of X2Go Client. New Features: -Support for SSH Proxy (HTTP-Proxy was developed by <Heinrich Schuchardt> xypron.glpk(a)gmx.de) -Support for SSH broker -Some improvements in common broker code -better support for encrypted SSH-Key -improvements in SSH connection classes -hide system tray icon before closing client etc. I have also wrote some documentation which can help you by developing your own X2Go broker. Mike will edit it and publish on X2Go Wiki soon.
