x2goclient X-forwarding-problem

Hi all, I've the following setup: * a remote Xserver-session on a client via xdmcp and gdm3. * In this session I want to use x2goclient to access a remote server Starting a X2go-session with x2goclient I get the following error: ... ... Info: No suitable cache file found. Info: Forwarding X11 connections to display '192.168.0.50:0.0'. Session: Session started at 'Thu Jul 14 12:12:50 2011'. Warning: X connection failed with error 'Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key'. Session: Session started at 'Thu Jul 14 12:12:16 2011'. Warning: X connection failed with error 'Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key'. Obviously there is a problem with the access to the xserver. Using kdm (kde4) instead of gdm3 it works (partly). Maybe the difference is, that gdm3 doesn't use ~/.Xauthority any more. See here: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=586685 Maybe the proposed workaround helps here. Keyboard and X2Go v3

Hi all, first time on this list. We are using X2Go in our business and encountered a strange problem: With the new x2goclient of version 3.something the keyboard is acting funny. Sometimes Ctrl or Shift hang, much more often Ctrl+Shift hangs. And AltGr always hangs. (Yes, we are germans with german layout:) That means after entering | all the following keys of 'less' become 'ł€ſſ' for example. Suspending the session and logging in again unsticks the keys but thats not really a solution to tell our users and customers... Needless to say that the old v2 works without problems in this regard. Is this a known problem? Is this perhaps even fixed in the development-version? Or is this better to report on the developers mailinglist? Thanks, Arnold

Thanks and > > > Best, > > Ted > Hello Ted; What I did was, while connected to the remote desktop x, with a user belonging to the group x2gousers (and / or group x2gouser, documentation is ambiguous!) I created a couple of files in the directory that appears when you run the mount command (mentioned by John in the other thread on the list), a pdf file (/ tmp / [remote user's spool directory] / x.pdf) and another named x.pdf.ready (/ tmp / [remote user's spool directory] / x.pdf.ready). Immediately a window appears asking, in the client PC, howprint the file received! That's all, so no problems with the client side, in x2goclient for windows. I do not think the problem is in mounting the user's spool directory. There may be a permissions issue, related to the user x2goprint, which the documentation is added to the file / etc / sudoers, but in the installation on Debian systems is never created. The questionis; to make a debugging or rewriting the scripts cups-x2go and x2go2print (the latter is called by cups-x2go), Having clear which is the road that runs when selecting a printer in cups, the files involved in a print job, directories involved in tehe print job, and what the directory structure that handles x2goserver when a particular user is connected, you could have more knowledge what does the scripts mentioned. I mean the specification of the operation of printing on x2go instalation. Maybe we can find this information on the development list? And know some Perl! :-) regards Mario.

I've got the same problems with the keyboard mapping (I'm also swiss and I use the french variant) with my Windows and Linux x2go client... When I use the Windows client, forcing the keymap in the X2Go client does not map the keyboard at all. When I let it be the defaut, the keyboard is also not mapped (configured with Gnome keyboard setting as fr_CH). This is under Windows 7 64. When I use the Linux client (qt), the keyboard is not completly mapped. The cursor keys does not work, and the "delete" key starts the gnome screen shooter (but it's not configured in the shortcuts in gnome). The good news is that if a switch to the german version (de_CH) than almost all keys are correclty mapped. This is under debian squeeze. Have you tried to configure the keyboard in your X11 session (gnome settings or kde...), not at the X11 level ? <snip> No, I didn't change the X11 settings on my two linux machines. After reading the mail, I changed it in the x2go session on the linux machine (ubuntu, gnome). First I choosed the swiss german mac layout to no avail. Then I changed the keyboard model to all variants but also to no avail. Bad news... Thanks anyway for the help. Tomorrow, I'll try to change to the french layout. If I'm lucky, this helps as described vice versa (priciple of hope...). I keep you informed. Markus

x2go Client on Max OS X

Hi all, Sorry to bother you with my minor problem... I'm using x2go between my Linux machines without any problems, great piece of software. Thanks for this to the developers! The only problem: when I'm connecting from my Mac to the Linux machines, the keyboard is mapped incorrectly. I also tried changing the keyboard settings in the x2go client and X11 on the Mac, to no avail. The mouse is working correctly. On your mailing-list, I didn't found a similar problem nor a solution for my problem nor on the dev mailing-list. My environment: Mac: OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) x2go client: 3.01-4 / Qt 4.4.3) X11: XQuartz 2.3.6 (xorg-server 1.4.2-apple56) Linux: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Lucid) x2go server and client: 3.0.1 As a swiss guy, I'm using swiss german keyboard layout on all machines Any tips to adjust the keyboard setting on the mac client?
