x2go, pam_mount cifs and multiple mounting

Hi every one, I am trying to setup pam_mount+cifs for a x2go server. I want to remove an aging nfs based homedir setup. The mounting works ok and I get my x2go session with my homedir file. However, due to the way x2go deals with logon process, it seems that the pam scripts are called five times, and so I get the home dir mounted five times ! The homedirs are stored on a samba/openldap PDC servers. I wanted to know if anyone of you had some trick to avoid the redondant mounting. Hello, I saw a post about some modifications that were made to the pyhoca-gui client that would allow x2go to run on OS X Lion. Could someone provide more info on how to download this so I can test it a bit? Thanks, Neil

New X2go releases (as of 2011-10-12)

Hi all, two weeks ago the X2go project developers team has agreed on releasing X2go source projects in shorter release intervals than before. The goal of this is to make new code and X2go features available to the community sooner rather then later and to provide more clarity on what is considered stable and up-to-date and what not. The plan is to release code that - we consider as stable - has been tested by more than one person and - has not been changed in X2go Git for more than 14 days the upcoming Wednesday. As this is the first release shot we will take (after a long time with only irregurlar releases), the changelogs of the individual projects are quite long. Feel free to study these changelog (at the end of this mail) or not. I don't remember any additional steps after installing it. I do remember that I didn't try the x2goclient versions at the link you posted on Windows 7 because they are 2 years old. Instead, I nosed around and found some newer builds here: http://x2go.obviously-nice.de/deb/windows/ I'm currently running the 3.99.0.1-092011 build without any major issues (as long as I don't run fullscreen). Also, make sure that there aren't any Xming, sshd or pulseaudio processes running on the Windows 7 machine before you (re)launch x2goclient. I've noticed that x2goclient doesn't always kill them when you close it (especially when you have to kill it due to a lost or hung connection that it refuses to terminate in a timely manner). It looks to me like your x2go client is trying to write to the installation folder in the "Program Files" directory tree, but it should be writing to a user folder in the "Documents and Settings" directory tree. x2go client errors under Windows 7

Does anyone running X2go client under windows 7? I am getting two issues. One is I have to manually launch Xming Server, which is not a big deal. Another is every time after connected I always got two error dialogs, "Can't read host rsa key:C:\Program Files\x2goclient\etc\ssh_host_rsa_key.pub", then another "Unable to read:.pub". They don't prevent me from using the client but very annoying and always need two extra clicks to close them. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks! Jian

can't launch pxe session

I've installed x2go (SQLite) with PXE boot and everything looks like it went ok. The server is an HP DL-385 G7 with 16GB ram, 1TB drive and AMD Opteron Model 6128 HE 8 core, 2.0 GHz, 12MB L3 processor. Runing with a Wyse S50 thin client at 100Mbps on a switch directly to the server. The server is doing nothing other than hosting this x2go project. PXE boots and I'm presented with a logon screen but the response is extremely slow. Even as I type in my password the characters are echoed to the screen several seconds after I type them. Nothing ever happens after I enter the password, the screen goes blank and there it sits. I've left it for hours and nothing changes. The nic light blinks like crazy so I watched with tcpdump and posted it below if that helps (sorry about the wrap). Loads of nfs traffic for some reason. Never ending. Not sure where to look at this point.
