Hi everyone,
the Chaos Computer Club's Stuttgart chapter is in need of help:
They have a regular, monthly talk event at the Stuttgart public library, and their speaker for February cancelled on short notice.
Which offers us the possibility to present X2Go to a mixed audience of enthusiasts and professionals alike, by offering to fill that slot.
Note that they have shown interest in us, but haven't confirmed "booking" us just yet. As soon as they do, I'll add the date to our "Events" wiki page.
The talk will be in German. The plan would be to present a talk similar to the one we gave at the IT-Kongress, but with less speakers and on a more abstract level (i.e. not re-using the Immobilienscout24 and Stuttgarter Versicherungen slides) - on the other hand, due to the fact that we will have more time for the talk than at the IT-Kongress, we can do some live demos of the ThinClient Edition, the Published Application Mode, and the Session Broker.
Date: 2015-02-12, 19:30 CET Length: max. 90 minutes Loc: Bibliothek am Mailänder Platz, Mailänder Platz 1, 70173 Stuttgart
I will be there; the question is, who is willing and able to join me?
Usual suspects: Heinz, Stefan#2 (Krug), Mihai - How about you all? Info: There *might* be at least partial sponsorship for train tickets or fuel costs, but there's no final word on that yet. Mike#1: Of course, if you want to join us, you're welcome, too, but I doubt they will pay for your train ticket as well, given the distance involved. ;-)

Again, CC'ing x2go-dev as the number of subscribers to x2go-project is still rather low.
It is now official, we have been invited to present X2Go at the monthly talk event of the Chaos Computer Club' Stuttgart chapter.
Date: 2015-02-12, 19:30 CET Length: max. 90 minutes Loc: Bibliothek am Mailänder Platz, Mailänder Platz 1, 70173 Stuttgart
An initial info tidbit has been added to our events page in the Wiki and will be updated as soon as more details are available: https://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/events:start#chaos_computer_club_stuttgart_ge...
This was on extremely short notice, as their advertising material needs to go into print today. So I would like to apologize to everyone that is considering to join me as a speaker: We are unable to credit you properly; the printed material will only list me by name (it does say something like "possibly with co-hosts"). It may be possible to add your name to the announcements that will be put online, though.
So, again, here goes the CfP/CfH: If you are interested in joining me, please contact me off-list so I can eMail you the topic and the full text of the announcement. (Discussion for this particular event will take place in German, as it will be held in German.)
