Hi
The build and wiki-providing server is scheduled to be shut down for non-critical maintenance. During that time, hardware will be exchanged.
No new nightly packages will be built during that period and the wiki will not be reachable.
The mailing lists and code repositories will not be affected. Developers are asked to not push new commits during this time frame, though.
We will try to keep the scheduled, projected downtime as short as possible, but data migration might take up to a day.
I will update this thread with more information as they become available.

As a quick status update: the machine is now down and awaiting physical maintenance.
Once a temporary system is up and running, data replication can begin.

Hi
The data has been successfully copied to the new disks.
Next up: a new round of hardware maintenance, then an upgrade from Debian Wheezy (7) to Debian Jessie (8), once the system has been booted up successfully.

Hi
All systems have been restored and should be functioning normally again.
We are now using Debian Jessie on japsand with the 4.3 kernel coming from jessie-backports. This allows using the in-kernel r8169 driver for the NIC, dumping the old Realtek blob. So far, network connectivity has been stable and the link constantly saturated while downloading a large file from my server with the in-kernel driver.
Additionally, the new hardware seems to have fixed the constant I/O problems. With that, the triggered builds should finish much faster than previously.
I would like to extend my gratitude to our ISP, Hetzner, that acted very fast on our request.
