after I installed freenx on top of it. The downside is it killed the printing for windows and not for ubuntu client. It is way more responsive now than it was before installing freenx. This is on windows xp. Using Ubuntu as the client has no problems except if you open system monitor it bogs down the speed tremendously like it was under heavy load, but there is no cpu usage. In windows it didnt have this problem. So maybe the library from freenx can be used here? The speed difference is definitely big and less lag. All this I am using over internet not local lan. Basically the clients are in China and the server is in Hong Kong and from another location in Hong Kong using USB 3G 3.6Mbps download with 2Mbps upload. Please look into it asap as the windows printing is quite important for us and most of them at this point are not interested in changing to ubuntu yet.
Tks in advance, Eric
Hi All, I have done more testing and now the printing works in Windows XP. The speed definitely has improved alot since I installed freenx on top. The system monitor still is a problem in Ubuntu client. At least the clients are happy with it now. Will there be a control panel for gnome?
Tks, Eric

It is not normal to install FreeNX on top. X2goclient does not work with FreeNX.

Hi Paul, I don't know why but it seems to have improved a lot and people connecting in has also said it has improved. So maybe the libraries or something must have done it. It was really slow before installing freenx. Most of the users are using it from the internet not local lan. Even when I connect to it using 3G has improved even when printing. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but the Ubuntu is running as a dom0 64bit.
