Hi,
I use Linphone as a SIP phone for VoIP use in our TCE setup. It works very well but sometimes, the application freezes, the GUI becomes grey and the desktop behaves strangely (windows don't refresh properly, most of the desktop is practicaly unusable). The session doesn't crash and the freeze last from a few seconds to 2-3 minutes sometimes. Doing nothing and waiting gently fix the issue and everything gets back to normal after that until the next occurence.
It's pretty annoying for my users because we're a call center and it happens randomly a few times a day.
When it happens, I get this in the $HOME/.xsession-x2go-server-errors
Any idea ? Is this something that needs to be fixed on the X2Go side, the MATE side (I'm using MATE Desktop) or on the application side ?
Regards, Walid Moghrabi

Well, to rule out X2Go, you could try replacing one of your ThinClients with a local MATE + LinPhone installation and see if LinPhone acts up there as well. Also, what happens if you try to use a different SIP client?

Well, this is not only Linphone in fact ...
I get some new (apparently related) bug here. This time, it is easily reproducible :
Within your X2Go session :
When you do that, you get that message in .xsession-errors :

Ok, I answer myself because I found a workaround for this specific example ... This problem occured after updating Chromium to v56. This is this specific release that has this problem for windows depth ordering. I downgraded to the previous release available in the repo (v49) and it fixed the problem.
So by now, I'm ok with it, I'll try the next release to see if this is going to be fixed. Anyway, this problem with this version occures only with X2Go, I had no problem with a local computer so I don't know if this is a "normal behaviour which is faulty on my X2Go environment" or if this is a bug in Chromium.
So ok for Chromium but I still have freezes issues with Linphone and I still don't really know who is faulty (X2Go or any of its dependencies, Linphone itself, MATE desktop, ...) so, sorry if it is definitely not X2Go but since this problem only occures on my TCEs, I thought I could post this here.
