Dear all,
The X2Go Project is proud to announce two new X2Go component releases:
The new packages will be available in our stable repositories (Debian,
Ubuntu) within the next 24h.
The windows and Mac OS versions of x2goclient will probably be
available tomorrow, as well. (PING: @Mihai, @Oleksandr). The Windows
binary may get delay a little longer, as we are currently migrating
the Windows development machine to another hoster, so we have to ask
for your patience here.
Sources and binary releases will be downloadable under this URL as
soon as they are provided by the packagers.

The new X2Go Server and Client versions add X2Go Published
Applications support. This feature was sponsored/contracted by Stefan
Baur (http://www.baur-itcs.de). The feature allows to export a
server-side, user-individual as well as system-wide applications menu
to the X2Go Client. We expect this feature to become higly attractive
to Linux SaaS providers.
Published Applications support will also be available in the next
release of PyHoca-GUI, this (and also stabilizing PyHoca-GUI on
Windows 7) is currently work in progress, sponsored by Dick Kniep
(http://www.lindix.nl).
light+love, Mike

Hi MIke,
The X2Go Project is proud to announce two new X2Go component releases:
- x2goserver (3.1.1.0) - x2goclient (3.99.2.0)
Good news, but shouldn't there have been a call for translation on the X2go-i18n mailing list before release? I'm assuming that there are some new strings to translate in x2goclient 3.99.2.0?
Cheers, Daniel

The call for translation will be sent out now, so that we have the
next version (3.99.2.1) up-to-date.
Basically you are right. Mike

Sorry for the delay, I was hold up myself by a server migration and only found some time to build a new release today.
New features include ppc support, as well as a downgraded libssh to cope with the problem reported by Stephan.
Please fetch the file here: http://www.ionic.de/x2goclient-3.99.2.0.dmg
(CCing Jan Wagner who experienced the same problem mentioned above.)
Best regards,
Mihai

I tried the binary on a recent 10.6.8, but had no luck. I attached the x2go related syslog entries.
Many thanks, Jan.

It took me some time to realize how to use the new Published Applications feature as I didn't noticed the new button below the sessions connection information. In an email there was a reference to a menu in the systray, but I couldn't see any systray icon appear. When I finally discovered that little anonymous button I was happy, but I think I'm not alone in not immediately understand/see what that little button is for, or even that it's there.
Therefore I added a wiki entry for this here: http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/wiki:components:published-applications
This is an initial version, hopefully I will find time to expand it further to also include more detailed information targeting sys-admins.
One thing I couldn't get to work in the wiki was the uploaded screenshots, can someone please take a look at that page and see what I did wrong? I can see the images in the media manager, I can pick them when I click on the insert image icon in the wysiwyg toolbar, but still the final saved page doesn't display them...
Also, this feature is really great! I can see a lot of potential for this feature :-)
Thanks, Terje

Everything is fine. There is a configuration issue in the wiki.
Cheers Morty
