at the end of the Page. It works now with the x2goclient for Windows. They are able to use the sound. When I try to connect from a Debian Machine for example it won
t work. I have no idea why but if Im trying to log in as the same user from a Windows client it works fine. At least a bit oft it ;). YouTube and other video platforms won
t work. I think this is a pulseaudio related thing. If you use Pulseaudio, you need to make sure, that the remote aapplications use pulseaudio as audio output. You can test this for example with audaciuos (has a pulseaudio output plugin). Furthermore you've need to make sure, that the local (client side) pulseaudio device can be used and the local user has the rights to use it. You can test this, by using a local installed application. The server side flashplayer needs to be configured to use pulseaudio - this is not a preconfigured feature. As you've already written, on server side the file /etc/pulsaudio/default.pa needs to adopt so theat the entry will look like:
load-module module-native-protocol-tcp auth-ip-acl=127.0.0.1
Sorry - this was my fault: of cause you'll need to change the default.pa of the client - not of the server!!! We are working on a new implementation of pulseaudio which will start an own instance for every user. This will be part of a new release which will include a input field for the client dpi value too.

Heinz

Hello X2Go friends,
Today, we have uploaded new X2go packages with a lot of changes:
Qt x2goclient 3.01-4
windows: http://prdownload.berlios.de/x2go/x2goclient-3.01-4-setup.exe macos: http://prdownload.berlios.de/x2go/x2goclient-3.01-4.dmg.zip and linux(amd64,i386,ppc, and maemo)
Gtk x2goclient 3.01-7 nxcomp 3.4.0-1 nxcomext 3.4.0-1 nxcomshad 3.4.0-1 nxproxy 3.4.0-2 x2goagent 3.4.0-3 x2goserver 3.0.1-2 cups-x2go 3.0.0-1
The made changes:
x2goclient (both, Qt and Gtk):
Windows specific changes:
cups-x2go: support for sqlite db on server
x2goserver:
[limit users] beispielb=1
[limit groups] x2gousers=2
<EOF>
In this file you have two sections. In the section "limit users" you can specify limits for specific users. In "limit groups" you can do the same for groups. "limit users" hase a higher priority then "limit groups". For example:
[limit users] beispielb=0
[limit groups] x2gousers=1 teacher=3
The limit of "beispielb" will be "0" (unlimited) independent from groups settings. If there is no entry for the user in config file, largest value from group settings will be taken. If the user "verstandk" is member of groups "x2gousers" and "teacher" and the config file looks like this:
[limit groups] x2gousers=1 teacher=5
value 5 will be used. Note, that 0 is greater than anything because "0" means "unlimited".
Ok. That's all for now. Please test all new packages and give us your results. We are waiting impatiently to get your test results (and certainly new bugreports ;) )

generally the new x2goclient für windows works much better than the old 3.0x-y versions.
- The default value for "Keep current keyboard settings" is set to FALSE. The default keyboard layout will be taken from your localization. (pc105/de for German, pc105/ru for Russian, etc)
But at least on windows (german) the keyboard layout in xming doesn't fit (it's english layout, so i cannot write umlauts).
Hello Sven,
I think, you just have the "old settings",
Please, activate your "Session preferences" dialog, go to tab "Settings" and press a button "Defaults". Now you keyboard layout must work. Please let me know if it help.

if I open the settings and remove the checkbox on "keep current keyboard settings" and use the filled in ones (de, pc105/de) it works. If I set the checkbox again i've an english layout again.

It's correct. "keep current keyboard settings" mean "do not explicit set keyboard layout using xkbmodmap"
if you unchecked this option, x2goagent will set by every connection specified layout (in your case pc105/de).

Really great!
And also great you write this in the mailinglist ;-)
- Added a field in session preferences "Set display DPI" ( Paul, you welcome ;) ).
I have tested it and it seems to work. But not as expected. I have tested it on two servers. On one server the fonts are too big when I use 96 DPI, on the other server too small. I can make the resolution higher or lower and then it becomes OK. But I have to find out the correct resolution for every server by try-and-error. Strange...
Before I hardcoded 96 dpi in the server, then it was OK without try-and-error. I don't understand it.

I also saw that in the login-screen username and password are not left or right alligned, but centered. This looks a bit strange. Maybe I see this better because I use the dutch translation where the words "Gebruikersnaam" and "Paswoord" have more difference in length.
With regards, Paul van der Vlis.

Hm, x2goclient only say x2gostartagent script to start x2goagent with option "-dpi". If you hardcoding this value in the startup script, you should have the same result.
