Hello,
Sorry if I'm bugging you with this...
I'm interested in changing some code in x2go and of course commiting those changes back. Because it would make things easier, I would like to ask about the state of the official git repository? Is there a 'git-clone'-able official tree somewhere I can base my changes on?
Greetings,
Alexander Wuerstlein.

Greetings,
Alexander Wuerstlein.
We are internally still discussing (and did other things meanwhile as
well) about the file/package structure in GIT. Sorry, that this is
taking so long. I picked up the topic with Heinz during a phone call
last Monday and he proposed that I should suggest a sensible project
tree for GIT and that my proposition will very probably be the GIT
project structure.
The basic idea is that there is not just a linear list of package
directories but a more sorted project tree that allows working on the
project code more intuitively.
Heinz and I agreed that I will propose and tree structure and that I
will communicate the delay to the list. From both I got distracted by
other work topics throughout the whole last week. Sorry for that!
I will see to GIT progress on Monday (tomorrow) and let you know about
the development by next Friday.
Thanks for bugging me!!! Mike

I understand you are talking about the project tree layout. Nonetheless the project's git workflow you have in mind may, or may not, have an influence on how you arrange things. Consequently this may be of interest: http://nvie.com/posts/a-successful-git-branching-model/ code here: https://github.com/nvie/gitflow

I have made my proposal today (as I got a little ill during the
weekend...), waiting for feedback from Heinz and Alex now...
Also thanks to Hedge Hog for the GIT project recommendations. I will
dive into them once I have feedback from Heinz and Alex on the project
tree itself. At a short glance, the project layout for GIT looked
completely convincing!!!

Any news an this? It would be nice to have any working repository (Berlios being down). Thanks to GIT re-applying the patches to a different directory structure in another branch shouldn't be too much pain.

The current plan is this:
Before the end of the week the new project tree will be on
git.x2go.org (browseable-only GIT repos).
At the weekend I will setup GIT at BerliOS...

the new project tree has been agreed upon and can be viewed online at http://git.x2go.org

I also (theoretically -> untested yet) already have access to pull the
project's GIT repos. I deseperately hope that I will get the BerliOS
GIT set up at the weekend.

Thanks Mike.
Now if I can just get my bzr-git plugin to pull in the Berlios GIT repo then we are happy. :-)

during the last weekend family life needed my primary attention, the
pre X-mas time is rather full of events and last-minute jobs (as
always, business and private). I will see, if I can find some time
before X-mas for GIT preparations. Otherwise it will be on the list
for the time after the holidays.

How did it go? Are "git.berlios.de/x2go" and "git.x2go.org" completely ready?
In https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/330984 (a petition for packaging X2go for *Ubuntu named "x2go needs-packaging") a packager for Ubuntu asked: "Where can I find the sources. I would try to build it for REVU [...] Do you have a SVN, GIT or etc.?"

Seems like git.x2go.org ist up, but is there a reason why all histrory has been discarded?
