Using plugin 3.01-11.
I logged into a session and then later terminated that session.
However, the session termination was a little strange in that it kept
respawning connection processes and then terminating over and over. So
I press the Back button to go back to the plugin website page. There I
reload and relaunch the plugin. then I put in my password and now it
refuses to log me in.
Here are the errors:
The remote proxy closed the connection while negotiating the session. This may be due to the wrong authentication credentials passed to the server.
Info: Proxy running in client mode with pid '1798'. Session: Starting session at 'Fri Jul 9 02:41:36 2010'. Info: Connecting to remote host 'localhost:30002'. I've checked the password and it is correct.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? I've checked things like ~/.Xauthority and even recreated it, still no joy.

Here's something else that happens part of the time trying to connect to this user:
Wrong password!
Connection failed localhost: Unable to connect: /home/greno/.x2go/ssh/socaskpass-r23053 Permission denied, please try again. Unable to connect: /home/greno/.x2go/ssh/socaskpass-r23053 Permission denied, please try again. Unable to connect: /home/greno/.x2go/ssh/socaskpass-r23053 Permission denied (publickey, password).
But I've even cut and pasted the password and still I get this message. And when I check that socaskpass-r23053 file, it does not exist.
And after about 20 tries I finally got the list of sessions and terminated what I figured was the bad session and then created a New session. Still seeing same behavior with this new session.

Hi John,
Yes, I tried that and using ssh I can always log in just fine, no errors.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin - no change, still same problem.
Something has the plugin thoroughly confused.
In trying to connect to 192.168.1.46, "Show details" shows this:
Info: Proxy running in client mode with pid '17787'. Session: Starting session at 'Fri Jul 9 12:07:49 2010'. Info: Connecting to remote host 'localhost:30002'. I don't see that IP address anywhere in the detail listing. Is that normal?

More info:
Using Ubuntu Lucid:
I removed the x2goserver package and reinstalled x2goserver-one. That
cleared the "/usr/bin/x2goagent: line 1: -e: command not found" error.
However, the "cannot open display" error still persists. Still
rejecting auth.

I can log into any session that is NOT on my localhost.
When I try to use any hostname or IP associated with my localhost then the session login fails.
And I notice a difference in the processes created between a localhost session and an external session:
## locahost session attempt, notice there are 2 x2goclient processes started: # ps -ef | grep x2go root 7756 1 0 13:24 pts/1 00:00:00 /usr/bin/perl /usr/sbin/x2gocleansessions greno 11165 3991 1 13:36 tty1 00:00:00 x2goclient --embed-into=56623115 --config=/home/greno/.x2go/ssh/gen/x2go.cfg-xNKVAS greno 11166 3991 2 13:36 tty1 00:00:00 x2goclient --embed-into=56623115 --config=/home/greno/.x2go/ssh/gen/x2go.cfg-eVxkcd # # # # external session attempt, notice there is only 1 x2goclient process started: # ps -ef | grep x2go root 7756 1 0 13:24 pts/1 00:00:00 /usr/bin/perl /usr/sbin/x2gocleansessions greno 12074 3991 0 13:37 tty1 00:00:00 x2goclient --embed-into=56623116 --config=/home/greno/.x2go/ssh/gen/x2go.cfg-lI1DsA greno 12218 12074 0 13:38 tty1 00:00:00 /usr/lib/x2go/nxproxy -S nx/nx,options=/home/greno/.x2go/S-ubuntu-50-1278697050_stDGNOME_dp24/options:50 greno 12274 12074 0 13:38 ? 00:00:00 ssh -p 22 -o ServerAliveInterval=300 ubuntu@XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX export HOSTNAME && x2gomountdirs dir ubuntu-50-1278697050_stDGNOME_dp24 greno ~ubuntu/.x2go/ssh/key.r12074 /home/greno/.x2go/S-ubuntu-50-1278697050_stDGNOME_dp24/spool__PRINT_SPOOL___REVERSESSH_PORT__30003
Why does the localhost session create 2 x2goclient processes?

I didn't find anything looking through the archive except for discussion about session-shadowing. Was that what you were referring to?
Yesterday after installing x2goserver-one I was able to get one
localhost session established and when I terminated that session the
termination went into some type of strange respawn/terminate loop.
Since then I have not been able to reestablish a localhost session
connection.
