Dear list, dear Heinz and Alex,

may state here that I will certainly proceed cooperating with Heinz
and Alex. The joint work is very very futile. PyHoca-GUI is not a fork
at all, it is a contribution to X2go.As earlier postings of Eli (or whatever his name is) have not been
very polite berfore and neither very contributive in terms of X2go
development, I recommend setting his mail address to moderated on the
mailing list. I know that esp. Heinz absolutely dislikes moderating
postings to this or any other X2go mailing list, but in his case I
think it a little bit of censorship would be quite appropriate!!!
+1

Greetings:
I am new to the project and perhaps my experience with the Win32client will be useful. From the attached file you can follow the changes that I had to make in order to get the client to function. I am wondering if the installation could be tweaked a bit so that these adjustments would not be necessary.
Clark <snip> Thanks, Clark. Sharing such information is really helpful. We also found 3.0.1-2 to be extremely slow on Windows. We have been using 3.0.1-4 with much better results and do not recall having to make the changes you describe.
There are still some issues related to Xming as the Windows XServer. These go away if you use the newer, paid version of Xming. They also go away and performance is significantly improved by using vcxsrv as the X server but that requires hacking the X2Go client code. We are currently working on some patches to submit back to the community to use vcxsrv - John
