does anyone know what needs to be done so that the X2Go client could be added to Thinstation (http://www.thinstation.org/)? They support a wide range of remote desktop solutions, it's a bit of a shame that X2Go isn't among them.

Could you send them (the thinstation people) an e-mail with your
request/idea and Cc: the x2go-dev list? We are very open to an
integration and will give support with whatever necessary...

You need to include an x2go client. I don't think it's really difficult, but testing will take some time.
They support a wide range of remote desktop solutions, it's a bit of a shame that X2Go isn't among them.
It's a nice solution. I have used it many years in combination with FreeNX.
