I'll still have to update the given tasks as some of them are already done. The task plugin was an idea of making task progress more visible to wiki visitors. But it increases the amount of written code for those who are working with it. SO it would say this option really needs to be discussed:
a) we don't need a plugin at all - just write down your tasks b) we should make guidelines how a task should be look like with the help of wiki syntax c) we need a plugin to visually enhance tasks and to seperate them from wiki page content.

just a side-note on this aspect: I also like the sidebar very much!!!
It makes the wiki look more like a real website. The whole theme of
the wiki (fonts esp.) looks very nice!

I haven't tried it, but from the description I'd prefer http://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:todo . The Markup is simpler, and it basically todo/done checkbox style. I don't think we need stuff like progress to show visually. It's a roadmap / todo, not a bug-tracker.

Yes, but not on the road map page. Sorry for erasing your example task
on top of the roadmap. I though that the other examples in the wiki
code of the roadmap are self-explanatory. You may be right that they
are not.

I would not address this in a too complicated way. If you think that
there are better add-ons then we should have those. I personally feel
very satisfied with the current/new way of showing task in the wiki.
I'd say if this thread keeps silent on this ML we use what we already
have.
