Hi there,
I have a little problem with the thin client. After the startup when the logging screen appears I can hear a strange noise. Some kind of white noise. I'm not quite sure but I guess it comes out of the pc speaker. Any idea?
Best regards Markus
Un-black-list the speaker (within the create-script). BTW: Can you connect to the server. We are having some trouble doing so at the moment. Presumably, because of the 3.5 NX-libraries.
@Mike: What was the exact reason for black-listing the speaker?
Cheers Morty

On my test system there was an error message: already loaded or so, so
I blacklisted it. But: that's why I blacklisted it in a config file.
Adapt it to your needs. If it comes out that it does not make sense to
blacklist it by default, then remove it from the defaults or leave it
as an example and commit the change to Git.

Ok, lets see what Markus says.....

Yes, it is possible to connect to the server.

this should be done in /etc/x2go/x2gothinclient_settings instead (not
the create-script).
I can't use the script because I installed the serer on a test machine and copied all the date the another server which handles the NFS share and PXE Boot.
x2gothinclient is designed to work that way.
On X2go server:
apt-get install x2goserver (+ window managers, x-apps etc.)
On the PXE machine:
apt-get install x2gothinclientmanagement -> run x2gothinclient_create
in the chroot: x2gothinclient + deps are installed...
So on this server are no x2go packages installed. Anyway I blacklisted the speaker directly in the chroot and it works, the white noise is vanished.
So, is it actually blacklisted? Or not blacklisted anymore?
