Hello devs.
I've had some problems running session with x2go on ubuntu 10.04. i installed the x2goserver package from the ppa mentioned in the wiki. i have been able to reproduce this error message in /var/log/syslog, by opening an application called Kolourpaint (part of the edubuntu-desktop collection). the connection simply dies, as if logging off. I hope you guys can make sense of this error.

Just a quikc followup on this one.
From my further testing, it looks like this bug is also in ubuntu 11.04, after the edubuntu-desktop package has been installed. i'm using the stable ppa, and the syslog file says:
kernel: [ 139,256483] x2goagent[1726]: sefault at 3c ip 080e41ff sp bfa84100 error 4 in x2goagent[8048000+442000
How can i go about solving this problem? and is a special application or framework causing this? any help in this matter is greatly appreciated

Hello there mike. Thanks for the speedy reply
after upgrading to the nightly build, the error persists. now the log reports:
Aug 17 13:46:33 Fleten-01 gnome-session[6237]: WARNING: GSIdleMonitor: IDLETIME counter not found Aug 17 13:46:34 Fleten-01 pulseaudio[6350]: pid.c: Daemon already running. So far i've only seen crash with Kolourpaint, though i will test some other packages from the edubuntu-desktop within a few days, to see if any other programs trigger this.

Yep, that's what I could witness using Gimp, too. Though it sometimes crashed "long" (~1h) after closing gimp. The next step is to find out, whether it is a x2go-bug or if it can be reproduced using freeNX, too. Unfortunately tracking this down is probably quite time-consuming. I thought I was also able to reproduce this playing xts [1], but I'm not sure whether xts was the cause. I just started a second session to see if this a simple way of narrowing it down.
Cheers Morty
