Hi Mike,
2011/7/21 Mike Gabriel <mike.gabriel@das-netzwerkteam.de>:
Try the server-side package upgrade first, if everything still fails afterwards, let us know.
I can confirm that 3.0.99 on W7 x64 won't connect. I have server version 3.0.99.5 installed.
Only 3.01-13 works on W7 x64. If I interpreted the changelogs correctly, 13 is the last version that didn't use libssh, I'm guessing that the problem in later versions are related to libssh.
Cheers, Daniel

I con not confirm this. I'm running 3.01-14. It does crash quite often on connection, though. Will test 3.99 later.
Cheers

I've tried using 3.01-14 many, many times on W7 x64 and it (x2goclient.exe) crashes pretty much every time, right after connecting. I have some vague recollection of it connecting succesfully only a couple of times. Since it crashes >90% of the times I've tried it, it's not very usable. 3.01-13 works quite well, can't recollect it ever crashing during my tests.
On 32-bit Windows, all versions from 3.01-13 to 3.01-18 have worked for me, 3.0.99 too (though I haven't tested it much beyond connecting). The same client versions on Windows 2003 x64 have also worked.
Cheers, Daniel

Hi,
this is definitely some race-condition and therefore highly system dependent. Since I had to reinstall my system I got less crashes and my single-core system without HT works pretty much seamlessly. Or in other words: This is a bug, someone needs to track down - probably not difficult to fix, but I haven't gotten around setting up an development environment for windows.

Seems to work as good as 3.01-14 (well enough for me). I also start the Xming 6.9.0.31 from the sf-project using "-keyhook -notrayicon -clipboard -logfile C:/Users/morty/X2GO~1/xorg\xorg.log.0 -nodecoration" thus allowing me to use alt-tab again. When hiding the windows-task-bar I almost get full screen and also an easy way to get to my win-apps.
VcXsrv is not an option as the mouse wheel does not work.
Cheers Morty
