Mike,
As I mentioned in a separate post (before I read this one), I am trying to get x2goserver-xsession working with Xubuntu. It doesn't seem to do anything out of the box for me, and I don't understand what I need to do from what you've said so far. This unfortunately looks a lot more complicated than my 2 line workaround script.
Thanks,
- Ben S.
Hi Stefan, hi Lucas,This statement probably depends on your individual setup. The Debian Edu project uses Xsession.d and XDG profiles intensively on their workstation systems and with those x2goserver-xsession runs out of the box. Not sure about Ubuntu though. Excuse us, if we cannot not test every possible setup. We rather depend on all of you, testing the setups and giving precise reports (including patches would be optimal) so that we can adapt the code to everybody's needs.

As you can read in the (small)documentionfile of x2go.xsession (/usr/share/doc/x2goserver-xsession/doc/README), the x-setup must be adapted. X2go.Xsession doesn't run "out of the box".
Greets,
mike
