Perhaps I misunderstand the question. If you wish to view a remote X11 Desktop from an XP station, why not just use X2Go?

Regarding conversion, our anecdotal analysis is that it seems faster to run the NX protocol to connect to a remote Linux desktop and then rdesktop to a local Windows computer rather than to run RDP directly across a WAN. I do not know if others share that same experience - John
