We have a user who it having difficulty with their X2Go session hanging regularly while running Firefox when connected from Windows (but not from their Linux machines). I'd like to test using a separate vcxsrv install via the Options -> Settings -> X.Org configuration to see if that makes any difference. It seems to mostly work but also seems a little flaky.
I have recently seen that connecting using vcxsrv 1.20.14.0 takes much longer that with 1.20.9.0. With 1.20.14. I have days where x2goclient reports failure to start vcxsrv on every attempt (probably because it takes too long). In that situation 1.20.9.0 works flawlessly. So maybe you should try a downgrade, too.
Also, is unchecking the "start X-Server on X2Go Client start" supposed to work? Is there an advantage to one mode over the other?
AFAIU you'll have one X server in that case instead of a new one for every connection. So it _might_ save some RAM. Also connections will probably come up quicker since there's no need to start the X server.
