i have used x2go with 10.5.8 and now 10.6.2 and it is working fine. i think you need:

generate ssh keys (if there came the error, not finding ssh keys)

in x11 you have to activate "allow connect from remote clients" under "security" (restart x11 after activation)

with 10.6.x i have to start x11 manually before starting x2go
