The file /usr/bin/x2goagent looked like this:

-e #!/bin/bash
    X2GO_LIBS=/usr/lib/x2go LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/x2go exec /usr/lib/x2go/x2goagent $@

I removed the "-e " in front of the first line, but it did not have any effect, the same error still persists.

please check, if your /usr/bin/x2goagent look so:

#!/bin/bash
