Mike,
I don't like some of the funkiness I'm experiencing getting nxagent and nxproxy to talk to each other when starting nxproxy first. Sometimes it fails to connect for some reason.
This warning is also really annoying when it keeps getting dumped to the console when no client is being used.
Warning: Couldn't start 'nxclient'.

Mike,
I'm using nx to connect to CentOS but I want to make some changes to nxproxy on Windows. To use X2go's nx-libs patches I need quilt, which is available on Windows through Cygwin.
Therefore my first step of patching the source code is going to be done through Cygwin. Whether I'll end up using Cygwin's compiler is moot at this point.
Ahh. Ok, getting what you are up to.
If you cannot get quilt to work as you need it, I recommend developing under Linux and then building nxproxy/libxcomp under Cygwin.
Alternatively, you could get the most recent nx-libs-lite source tarball [1] and operate on that.
And: /me is curious what you intend to work on in nxproxy code.
Thanks Mike
