Hello,
I have installed x2goserver on a Debian Etch machine and I added myself to the x2gousers group. But I cannot get contact from a client on Debian Lenny. I don't see an error.
Hello Paul,
is there an entry inside your /etc/sudoers which gives the group x2gousers access to the x2gopgwrapper?
The etch version doesn't install automatically like the new lenny ones. So you'll have to install the postgres db
Ah, stupid. That's the problem. I forgot the installation of PostgreSQL completely... Thanks.
I think I can use /usr/lib/x2go/script/x2gocreatebase.sh to create a database, correct? I don't have an installation manual anymore for this version.
and make the sudo changes on your own. Normally it should be no problem to contact an x2go 2.x server with an 3.x Client.
OK, thanks.
Is it possible to install the X2go version for Lenny on Etch?
Not with the help of the debian packages. The whole LDAP components have changed.
I don't use LDAP at the moment.
Maybe it is possible to compile a 3.x Version for Etch. After Etch hat some major issues in some schools, we really recommend lenny as installation base.
I have some customers who are still not migrated to Lenny. It are mostly complex installations with thinclients.
What do you need to run under Etch? Maybe I can have a look on the needed components.
Only remote screen, keyboard, mouse. Nothing special. I would prefer to use sqlite as a database. Is that possible?
With regards, Paul.
