MATE support in X2Go

Hi all, I have (over night) added MATE support to X2Go [1,2,3]. I esp. want to make the developers aware of a new project component: x2gomatebindings (a fork of the x2gognomebindings component) [4]. Due to lack of dependencies in Debian/Ubuntu, the x2gomatebindings package has to be built from source for now, packages are not in our .deb archives, yet. Hello, another patch from my attempt to set up x2go on my Fedora 19 box. It would appear that gnome-terminal in GNOME 3.8 returns immediately and runs in background, whereas the previous versions did not do so. Consequently, IMEXIT="false" should be set for gnome-terminal in the "TERMINAL" switch in x2goruncommand. If not, the terminal window appears on client for a second, then closes and the session is proclaimed to be finished. Patch attached. Regards, Rok

Package: nx-libs nx-libs has copies of a number of libraries in nx-X11/extras/ (and some glue in nx-X11/libs). We should get rid of these and use system provided versions. As a first stab, I'm able to remove the following without any harm: rm -r nx-X11/extras/{drm,fonts,ogl-sample,regex,ttf2pt1,x86emu,zlib} rm -r nx-X11/lib/{regex,zlib} expat appears to be essentially the 1.95.6 version. And can be disabled by setting HasExpat YES in nx-X11/config/cf/host.def. fontconfig is an unmodified fontconfig 2.3.2 and can be disabled with HasFontconfig YES. rman is not needed and can be disabled with BuildRman NO. When trying to connect the server a pop up is shown: "Anmeldung fehlgeschlagen" "Host-Key des Servers hat sich geändert Er lautet jetzt: 00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00 Aus Sicherheitsgründen wird die Verbindung abgebrochen" The user is left puzzled with what he should do next. There is no indication in which file there is a problem, e.g. ~/.ssh/known_hosts or %APPDATA%\ssh\known_hosts There is no indication which entry in this file is corrupted. Deleting file known_hosts is a bad idea because it may contain the keys for dozens of validated servers. Bug#266: x2goclient does not handle exporting dirs correctly in broker-mode

I discovered this because the combination of x2goclient on Mac and XFCE means that xfdesktop hangs on login, waiting for a timeout somewhere. If fstunnel is turned off, this problem (with xfdesktop) goes away. My broker sets fstunnel=false, but x2goclient does not respect this. Digging into the code reveals that ONMainWindow::exportDirs initialises an X2goSettings object from "sessions" rather than the way it should be done when in broker-mode. I use "Connect to local desktop" mode, on server users foo and bar is logged in to desktop session. I try to connect via x2go with user bar, and see only bar:0 session in list. How I can connect to foo session? Maybe I need to do some changes in x2goserver.conf? Just for the record: The workaround described on the associated discussion on the development list https://lists.berlios.de/pipermail/x2go-dev/2013-June/005792.html works for me: mv /usr/libexec/x2go/* /usr/lib64/x2go rm -Rf /usr/libexec/x2go ln -s /usr/lib64/x2go /usr/libexec/x2go service x2gocleansessions start chkconfig x2gocleansessions on Obviously it would be good that the rpm packages would be fixed.

I have been able to get around the issue with keyboard lockups by running the server on ubuntu 12.04 instead of 10.04. This app has not been updated since March and this is a fairly glaring bug (especially since sessions seem to auto-terminate fairly regularly, so re-logging is necessary, but painful when you have to keep restarting the client) that is probably fairly simple to fix. Can you please provide an update regarding whether or not this will be released sometime soon? I'd propose the following now: As this bug is now cluttered all over with two different issues - clipboard sniffing and the warning when it was activated - security measures and better documentation about what NX/X2go really does I'd close this bug, and open two new ones, one for each issue... referencing that old bug... so that all topics can be discussed (perhaps fixed) in a more simple fashion. Hi all, i'm following this guide http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/wiki:development:build-howto-linux:x2goserver to compile and install x2goServer in mandriva 2010.0, the all dependences i compile and install, when i try to install nx-libraries I used the package full ( http://code.x2go.org/releases/source/nx-libs/) and install but when i do the 12 point, Install x2goserver from git, when i do make command i see this message make[1]: Entering directory `/home/carlinchis/x2goserver/x2goserver-common' mkdir -p .build_man2html/html for man_page in `cd man && find * -type f`; do mkdir -p `dirname .build_man2html/html/$man_page`; done for man_page in `cd man && find * -type f`; do man2html man/$man_page > .build_man2html/html/$man_page.html; done and the make command not stop but noting happend, the comand wait someting, but noting happend. Up to this point variable trayNoclose has not been initialized. Hence in ONMainWindow::closeEvent an unitialised variable trayNoclose is used in statement if (trayNoclose && !brokerMode). Due to initialization brokerMode=false. Obviously the behavior of closeEvent() is undefined. Furthermore in ONMainWindow::closeClient() decisions are based on unitialized variables trayIcon, and useLdap. Please, initialize at least these variables before calling close().
