This is even though a keyfile is loaded into Pageant (PuTTY's SSH Auth Agent), and console login into the server using PuTTY works. tried Xming... works a bit better (ctrl-alt-left works), but alt-tab has still problems... sometimes it works, but it must be pressed very quickly, if it's held too long then I get thrown back to windows... weird. so it seems more a problem with the X servers and/or their configuration by x2go. The same bug exists in the master branch of http://cgit.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/tree/src/glx/glxextensions.c But here __GL_EXT_BYTES = 9. I will report the same bug to the upstream. Who takes care of porting new upstream versions of the mesa library to x2go? Best regards Heinrich Schuchardt

With Python 0.4.0.x no such freeze could be observed. [re-sending after unarchiving, apologies if this reaches you twice] Hi, Sorry to reopen an old bug, but I still experience it with GNOME Flashback in Ubuntu 14.04/14.10 and current packages from the X2Go PPA. The screen resizes itself to the size configured in monitors.xml, or 1920x1200 if that is missing, at login. Please find attached debug logs of unity-settings-daemon and its xrandr plugin during lightdm and x2go sessions, for comparison. Looking at the logs, I am wondering if there is a mismatch between the Xinerama and RandR information provided by the server. In one log the initial window size (1024x768) seems to be detected properly, while in the other, the monitor size (which I think is detected via Xinerama) is detected as 1920x1200, which has nothing to do with either the window size or my client display size (1920x1080). I think some of the symptoms from the original report constitute a separate bug, that resizing the client window does not (judging from the gsd-randr log) generate RandR events in the session. Package: x2goserver Version: 4.0.1.18-0x2go1+git20141006.949+wheezy.main.1 Severity: normal I tried a bare installation: minimal debian wheezy with x2goserver-xsession and openbox. The connection with x2goclient went fine - but the session was terminated immediately. This also happened with other window managers and there was nothing helpful in any logfiles. By installing a full lxde environment and then eliminating the installed packages step by step it turned out that fonts are required. Installing x2goserver-xsession with openbox and xfonts-base results in a working system. My suggestion would be that x2goserver or x2goserver-xsession should at least recommend xfonts-base.

X2Go module purposes

Greetings! I've recently been able to build x2goclient from source. As I was working through that process, I began to wonder if everything needed to run the client is built with the client. Obviously there are various nxproxy dependencies, but there are also source trees for other components of x2go. For example, do I need to build libpam-x2go in order for the x2goclient? I'm thinking this is more of a server aspect, but I'm not positive. How about cups-x2go? The build I'm doing will be processed into a tarball and installed on various thin client devices, so I want to make sure that I know of every file and library I'll need to build/collect/install. In the Rasbian repository I find http://archive.raspbian.org/raspbian/pool/main/x/x2goclient/x2goclient_4.0.… So obviously it was possible to compile this version of x2go-client for the Raspberry and Debian package with version 4.x is available. Package: pyhoca-gui Version: 0.5.0.3-20150124 tags +win32 When attempting to connect to a server using Pageant ("Discover SSH keys or use SSH agent for X2Go authentication"), you get this error: An unknown error occurred during authentication This is a regression between 0.5.0.0-pre02 (the previous build) and 0.5.0.3-20150124 (the current build.) I've attached the debug logs. (On Windows, logs are under %AppData%\pyhoca-gui\ ) 0.5.0.0-pre02 bundles paramiko 1.14.0. 0.5.0.3-20150124 bundles paramiko 1.15.2 This appears to be a regression in paramiko, #461: https://github.com/paramiko/paramiko/issues/461 @ThiefMaster's commit fixes the issue fine. The paramiko maintainer seems to be away, so it has not been merged yet. I will release a new build of PyHoca-GUI with the paramiko commit applied.

Bug#108: Missing fonts in X application

Package: x2goclient Setup: X2go server on Ubuntu 12.10, client on Win7 Issue: One of our CAD application displays unreadable text. When trying to select another font, only one is available. xlsfonts also reports only a few fonts. The application works fine locallyor when using a Linux X2go client and xlsfonts shows a long list of fonts. How to solve: Install the 'font' directory from the VcXsrv mainline package. After that, the application shows readable text and provides a large selection of alternative fonts. I think it would be good to bring the Windows and Linux client closer by shipping a more complete VcXsrv with it or at least offering the option.
