Bug#1230: x2go fails unhelpfully when a session fails to start

Package: x2goserver Version: 4.0.1.20 When a username is rejected by the 'valid username' test (see separate bug report<https://bugs.x2go.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1229>), the session doesn't fail, but simply seems to hang, giving no feedback about the problem, nor, as far as I can see, reporting anything in the logs. To reproduce, attempt to log in using a username such as '123x'. The session doesn't complete the setup, leaving the user at a blank screen. Bug#1320: >=libssh-0.8.0 does not provide libssh_threads.so anymore

Package: x2goclient Version: 4.1.2.1 With recently released libssh 0.8.0 (and bugfix 0.8.1), everything is now provided in libbsh.so only. The separate libssh_theads.so library was dropped. This breaks x2goclient linking, as the project file explicitly sets: LIBS += -lssh -lssh_threads A proper fix would be to check libssh version and only append "-lssh_threads" for < 0.8. Currently in Gentoo libssh package added a compatibility symlink to workaround the failures in impacted consumers. Bug#1305: bad window title encoding for Unicode (Cyrillic) session names

Package: x2goclient Version: 4.1.1.1 Tag: patch If the session name is written in Cyrillic (I guess, any Unicode), the window title is displayed incorrectly (as if Unicode was not understood, with strange symbols) in the task bar in the KDE panel. See the attached screenshot (made by mcpain@). Patch (by mcpain@ and zerg@) is attached, too: x2goclient-4.1.1.1-window-title-encoding.patch The client and server OS are: ALT Linux (Sisyphus or p8). The window manager is KDE.

Bug#1364: MATE-Theming fails for x2gothinclient-minidesktop when installed on Debian Stretch

package: x2gothinclient-minidesktop This package contains a file "/usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/19_x2gothinclient-minidesktop.gschema.override", however, according to Mike#1/sunweaver, the themes listed in there are the wrong ones for a GTK-3 based MATE, thus theming fails, which results in the Start button displaying the Gnome Foot instead of the MATE logo. On Debian Jessie (oldstable), MATE is based on GTK-2, and thus it works fine there. However, it needs to be changed for Debian Stretch. Bug#1325: GLX error solved with workaround

Hi, Following this workaround : https://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/wiki:development:glx-xlib-workaround did the trick ! The workaround also works for ubuntu 18.04. I just replaced "aptitude" by "apt". I had to chown -R <me>:<me> mesa-18.0.5/ to be able to compile. Now modifying nextcloud client launch sequence ! Cheers, Thierry

It's not available on macOS at all, since macOS is very special. The keyboard settings are synchronized using an xmodmap timer, the X.Org rules are not touched at all. Were they, stuff would just blow up. This is not a limitation of X2Go, but the way the X11/Quartz keyboard synchronization works with XQuartz for some reason. It's always set to pc104/us/null/null (or some variant of this), even if the actual layout is something entirely different. Mihai
