Bug#1418: Attempting to input an IPv6 address as an SSH proxy fails

package: x2goclient version: 4.1.2.1 Attempting to input an IPv6 address as an SSH proxy fails: As soon as you enter an IPv6 address (even as simple as ::1), the ssh proxy host name field will be empty, and the port value will change from 22 to 0. If you try a "fake" address like 1:2:3:4:5:6, then the ssh proxy host name becomes 1, and the port number becomes 2. Clearly, this is not how it should be. IPv6 support in general is working: If you specify a DNS name that has an IPv6 address record, it will be used. Also, using an IPv6 address as the actual X2Go host name works just fine. It only affects the ssh proxy host name field. Bug#1305: bad window title encoding for Unicode (Cyrillic) session names

Package: x2goclient Version: 4.1.1.1 Tag: patch If the session name is written in Cyrillic (I guess, any Unicode), the window title is displayed incorrectly (as if Unicode was not understood, with strange symbols) in the task bar in the KDE panel. See the attached screenshot (made by mcpain@). Patch (by mcpain@ and zerg@) is attached, too: x2goclient-4.1.1.1-window-title-encoding.patch The client and server OS are: ALT Linux (Sisyphus or p8). The window manager is KDE.

Pulseaudio issue latest Win 10

As many other users I experience a malfunction of Pulseaudio on latest Win 10 Pro keeping X2go from transmitting sound from the host machine. This is still the case with the latest nightly build of x2go. Messages like "Pulsaudio can't be started" or "can't play start tone" show up). The error message on the command line : [(null)] pulsecore/core-util.c: Secure directory creation not supported on this platform and daemon/core.c: Failed to allocate shared memory pool. Falling back to a normal memory pool daemon/main.c: Daemon startup without any loaded modules, refusing to work This seems to be due to new security measures in Win10. Bug#1429: Tilde expansion no longer performed by libssh after CVE-2019-14889

Package: x2goclient Version: 4.1.1.1 SSH key fails to be copied to the remote side because the path use a tilde, so neither file sharing nor client-side printing works. Client OS Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS with libssh-4 0.8.0~20170825.94fa1e38-1ubuntu0.5 Server OS Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS Since december, 10th on Ubuntu, every time I connect to a server with either file sharing or printing enabled I have this error message : "Cannot create remote file ~ilm/.x2go/ssh/key.jdT502" - "SCP: Warning: status code 1 received: scp: ~ilm/.x2go/ssh: No such file or directory\n" But the directory does exist. After using gdb I saw that ONMainWindow::exportDirs() calls SshMasterConnection::copyFile() with dst="~"+uname +"/.x2go/ssh/"+dst; which is ultimately passed to libssh. But following CVE-2019-14889 the path is now literal (quoted), see https://git.libssh.org/projects/libssh.git/log/src/scp.c for the libssh logs and https://usn.ubuntu.com/4219-1/ for the ubuntu packages A similar issue is handled for Windows in SshProcess::start_cp() As a workaround I reinstalled an old version of the libssh-4 package and the bug went away.

Thanks. I created a bug report, in case it is a real bug. I also included a link to a bug which is a few years old. I assume you mean the remote ubuntu? Unlikely. Would you suggest reinstalling X2Go Server on that machine? Or what is the most straightforward solution? Thanks a lot Am Fr., 13.
