Bug#1217: X2GoClient does not auto-resume sessions in public application mode

package: x2goclient X2Goclient is supposed to auto-resume a suspended session if the following conditions are all met: - The session settings provided by X2GoClient upon connect match the session settings of the suspended session, AND - There is exactly one suspended session with matching settings, AND - X2GoClient was NOT started with --no-autoresume However, this fails for sessions of the "published application" type, and the reconnect session chooser popup is shown. Bug#1230: x2go fails unhelpfully when a session fails to start

Package: x2goserver Version: 4.0.1.20 When a username is rejected by the 'valid username' test (see separate bug report<https://bugs.x2go.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1229>), the session doesn't fail, but simply seems to hang, giving no feedback about the problem, nor, as far as I can see, reporting anything in the logs. To reproduce, attempt to log in using a username such as '123x'. The session doesn't complete the setup, leaving the user at a blank screen. Bug#773: DirectRDP: X2Go Client reveals user password in process list if xfreerdp is used

Package: x2goclient Severity: grave When a users uses X2Go Client for directly accessing an RDP Server, then one can use the DirectRDP feature. The DirectRDP features allows wrapping around the rdesktop command or the xfreerdp command. With both wrapper modes, the password is given to the RDP client application on the command line. With rdesktop, the command line ($@) gets rewritten for the process list and the password is replaced by XXXXXXXX. With xfreerdp, the command line stays as is and reveals the RDP user's password on the process list of the machine that X2Go Client runs on. The FreeRDP people have added a command line option --from-stdin to xfreerdp 1.0.x for this purpose, that may be an option using in X2Go Client. However, I am not sure, if this option survived in xfreerdp 1.1.x or later (it is not on the xfreerdp man page for 1.1.0~git<sometime-in-2014> as shipped with Debian jessie. Package: x2goplugin Severity: grave Version: 3.99.3.0 Hi Alex, more tests with x2goplugin + x2goplugin-provider as release with x2goclient src:package 3.99.3.0. Try this: o install x2goplugin-provider and x2goserver locally on the same machine o visit http://localhost/x2goplugin.html o launch the pre-configured session o ... till here, everything works fine now... On my machine: after the session has come up (actually already while it is comming up) my whole desktop shell (awesome) refuse to accept almost any import from keyboard or mouse. I can neither click any of the x2goplugin controls nor can I click around in the started up X2Go session. The X2Go session is embedded in the x2goplugin frame, just in case this information is relevant. Hi, some time passed, but finally I found the time to do a testrun on a dedicated setup based on upstream arctica libraries my colleague compiled to deb packages and installed on a VM. Package: x2goserver Severity: normal Version: 4.1.0.0-preview As the Xinerama magic will be soon moved from libNX_Xinerama.so into the programs/Xserver/hw/nxagent code, all Xinerama specifc stuff in x2goruncommand becomes obsolete if nxagent >= 3.5.99.0 is used server-side. The nxagent >= 3.5.99.0 will be able to handle Xinerama stuff all by itself. No external xinerama.conf is required, applications running server-side can use the X.Org client libraries, no hack for injecting libNX_X11, libNX_Xext and libNX_Xinerama into the library path is needed anymore. In fact, the libNX_Xinerama library will be dropped completely in nx-libs >= 3.5.99.0 (aka 3.6.x). Bug#818: x2goserver: client-side folder sharing broken on Ubuntu 10.04

Package: x2goserver Severity: normal Version: 4.0.1.19 Hi all, x2goserver: client-side folder sharing is broken on Ubuntu 10.04 since X2Go Server 4.0.1.19. REASON: ------- I just discovered that the "timeout" command that we have started using in /usr/bin/x2gomountdirs since 4.0.1.19 of X2Go Server is normally shipped via the essential .deb package "coreutils". Normally, it is not necessary to add dependencies for essential packages. However, on Ubuntu 10.04, the timeout command is not shipped with the coreutils package but with a separate package called "timeout". There you have to explicitly install the "timeout" .deb package. So, basically in X2Go Server's debian/control file we need to add timeout | coreutils, under Depends: of bin:package x2goserver. However, as Ubuntu 10.04 will reach End of Life probably before the next X2Go Server release will come out, I am unsure if we should still change this.
