Bug#1240: broker bug with accentuated characters in password

package: x2gobroker priority: bug Context : I'm using PAM auth with the X2Gobroker which relies on Samba/Winbind to use ActiveDirectory based authentication. It works pretty well but some users couldn't auth even though we triple checked their username/password combination. It appears these users had some accentuated characters in their password so I suppose there is a charset issue there, not sure if the broker uses iso/latin encoding or UTF8. Upcoming Deprecation of (Almost) EOL Distributions

Hi In order to lower resource stress when building packages, I plan to deprecate support for distributions that have (almost) reached End Of Life on December 31th 2017. This includes the following distro versions: - Debian: o 7.0 "wheezy" - Fedora o 23 o 24 o 25 - OpenSuSE o 13.1 o 13.2 o 42.1 Ubuntu builds are ceased automatically after upstream deprecation. After deprecation, no new builds will be published and existing builds will be moved to the archive repositories to discourage users from installing unmaintained software. Mihai

Bug#1241: lock down option menu for desktop selection

Package: x2goclient Version: 4.1.1.0 (Qt - 4.8.7) Severity: wishlist I am a big fan of X2GO. Its awesome.. There is one design flaw that is a constant issue for me.. As little as it seems, it is actually a pain.. I have about 15 different hosts configured in x2go with various desktops. The client window displays a scrolling list of connections on the right side. The user selects the session to use from the list. My problem is, each session is configured with three live option menus - The desktop, the screen size, and the sound parameters. When I am scrolling up and down (via the mouse wheel) in the connections list, if the mouse happens to be in vertical alignment with the option menus, the list of connections will scroll until one of the menus is encountered by the mouse. At that point the connections list stops moving, and instead the option menu begins scrolling instead. What usually happens is the desktop selection gets accidentally changed. I have to set it back before connecting.. Some times I am not exactly sure which desktop is used on that particular host. I have been putting the desktop name in the session title. It would be very very nice if there was some kind of setting to disable the three option menus in the session selections from the main client window. Just a suggestion! Many thanks! -- -Monty

Client is on Windows 10. -------------------- SSH daemon could not be started. You have enabled Remote Printing or File Sharing. These features require a running and functioning SSH server on your computer. Printing and File Sharing will be disabled for this session. Normally, this should not happen as X2Go Client for Windows ships with its own internal SSH server. If you see this message, please report a bug on: https://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/wiki:bugs Disabling Remote Printing or File Sharing support in the session settings will get rid of this message.

Hi all, perhaps I give it a try to propose a solution (correct an error). The session was started correctly by nxagent (/var/log/user.log), but the traffic was not routed to the right ports (see /var/log/auth.log) due to a missing parameter in ssh-configuration Solution: - Open /etc/ssh/sshd_conf (my version: OpenSSH_6.7p1 Debian-5+deb8u4) - Set Parameter "AllowTcpForwarding" to "yes" - Restart ssh-Service - Open x2go-Session and - hopefully - all is fine. Package: x2goserver Version: 4.1.0.0-0~1413~ubuntu16.04.1 Running Eclipse with GTK2 backend in Published Apps mode leads to missing icons in the toolbars. They refreshed once you pass the mouse over or switch from one perspective to another so it's not too annoying but that's not great. This doesn't happens with GTK3. Bug#1239: Logout on closed session in Thinclient mode

package: x2goclient priority: wishlist Context : When in thinclient mode, once you logged in, you see the session profiles then you connect. With the --close-disconnect option, once you close your session, the x2goclient is closing then restarted which takes quite a long time (10~20s) and don't provides the user a smooth experience. Without the --close-disconnect option, the user is stuck on the post logon form with its session profiles but since there is no logout button yet (see bugs #1209, #1227), he can only login to another session or halt the thinclient (with --haltbt). Would be great to have a --logout-disconnect option that bring the x2goclient to the thinclient mode logon form once a session has been closed or suspended so that another user can login without restarting the x2goclient.
