Bug#1069: Cluster SSH (cssh) has keyboard issues with non-US keyboards when called via X2GoClient

package: x2goclient version: 4.0.5.1 When cssh is started as a remote application, certain keys aren't forwarded properly when a non-US keyboard setting is present on the client. This happens both with Windows and Linux X2Go clients. It does *not* happen when cssh is executed directly on the client, nor, if it is executed using ssh -X. It also does *not* happen when the "problematic" keys are entered manually in a single SSH client window *belonging to cssh* - it happens only if they are entered in the *central* cssh window, from which they are supposed to be cloned to all SSH client windows. On a Swiss German keyboard, "^", "~", "´" and "`" are known to cause problems. On a German keyboard, "~" works fine, while "^", "´" and "`" remain an issue. Bug#751: new DebBugs scripts: mbox / cleanbug

Hi all, last night, I created to new scripts for the debbugs software underneath bugs.x2go.org. Both scripts are attached and can be found under /usr/lib/debbugs on host ymir.das-netzwerkteam.de. Especially the cleanbug script should be of interested here. I recently received various abuse notifications from my provider and they all relate to X2GO bugs containing mails with virus attachments. These need to be cleaned. I already did so for the reported URLs: http://bugs.x2go.org/128 http://bugs.x2go.org/232 http://bugs.x2go.org/496 http://bugs.x2go.org/765 But there are more... Please coordinate in the X2Go core team, who will work on cleaning up the X2Go bugtracker. Currently, these people have access: Heinz Mihai Mike You have to log into ymir.das-netzwerkteam.de (aka bugs.x2go.org) as user locadm and become root via sudo. The cleanbug script itself is easy to handle: # /usr/lib/debbugs/cleanbug <bugno> Once you triggered the script, you have to look at bug posts on the selected bug and say yes and no. At the end you get asked, if you really want to write back the changes to the bug. The answer's question defaults to "no". You should create some back before manipulating existing bugs. For this, create copies of <bugno>.log in /var/lib/debbugs/spool/db-h/ Note for archived bugs: for cleaning up archived bugs, you have to unarchive them first. PID-File doesn't look right to me. Several other services on my system use PIDFile and none use PID-File. I also see this in the log when I try PIDFile: Aug 09 21:05:02 shodan systemd[1]: [/lib/systemd/system/x2goserver.service:7] Unknown lvalue 'PID-File' in section 'Service'

Bug#1064: Unhandled exception on Windows after remote connection lost

Package: x2goclient Version: 4.0.5.1 Using Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit. This issue occurs after the connection was somehow lost (possibly due to an ssh-related setting on the server, but this issue can still be triggered by disconnecting the network connection and waiting 120 seconds). Message dialog that appears: [cid:image001.png@01D1E72E.2F723220] "The connection with the remote server was shut down. Please check the state of your network connection." When that message appears, the main X2Go Client window is no longer responsive. [cid:image004.png@01D1E668.655A77B0] Last few messages in session log that appear for this issue: Warning: No data received from remote proxy within 30 seconds. x2go-WARNING-1> "English language requested, not loading translator." x2go-WARNING-1> "English language requested, not loading translator." Error: No data received from remote proxy within 120 seconds. Session: Terminating session at '...' Windows then brings up a message: [cid:image001.png@01D1E665.EFF1C660] "x2goclient.exe has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program." (options: Close the program, Debug the program) Visual Studio Debugger says: Unhandled exception at 0x61AE3784 (libssh.dll) in x2goclient.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000010. After connecting in published applications mode and attempting to launch any application, the connection is lost, and the following error shows up in /var/log/syslog: Aug 8 22:48:27 shodan kernel: [ 1849.409877] traps: nxagent[3944] general protection ip:7f0e10d3de3f sp:7ffd7563a670 error:0 in libNX_X11.so.6.2[7f0e10cf4000+123000] This happens with or without x2gomatebindings installed.

The installation procedure ends up on both machines with a message thrown in systemctl status x2goserver The message was: "x2goserver.service: PID file /run/x2goserver.pid not readable (yet?) after start: No such file or directory" * What led up to the situation? Simply apt-get dist-upgrade or (later) apt-get -f install * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? Validating the fault I found that the file /lib/systemd/system/x2goserver was wrong. Instead of line 7 PIDFile=/run/x2goserver.pid it should read PID-File=/run/x2goserver.pid With this adjustment the server starts as expected. Bug#1067: x2gomatebindings cannot be installed on Ubuntu MATE 16.04 due to missing libgtk-2.0-bin

Looks like the problem may be that the real package name is libgtk2.0-bin, rather than libgtk-2.0-bin (note the difference in hyphen).
