Bug#688: x2go goes to an infinite loop when using el7 and domain login

Package: x2goserver Version: 4.0.1.18-3.el7.x86_64 x2go is installed in OracleLinux 7 from epel rpms. When trying to connect with a domain account (login uses sssd for authentication) x2gostartagent enters in an infinite loop. ps fax output for 2 tries: 28042 ? Bug#713: x2goclient: overlapping display

Package: x2goclient Version: 4.0.3.1 My monitor is 160 dpi. I have entered this value in the KDE Systems Settings - Fonts dialogue. The layout dialogue "Sitzungs ID" (Session ID) which shows up when starting a connection seems to be based on pixels instead of typographic points. Some elements overlap. See appendix. The problem does not occur with 90 dpi. Please, do not use pixels for layout. Best regards Heinrich Schuchardt

We have several servers running X2go, where at two systems a session resume raises an error since the same day: DBD::SQLite::st execute failed: unable to open database file at /usr/lib/x2go/x2gosqlitewrapper.pl line 320. syslog: invalid level/facility: error at /usr/lib/x2go/x2gosqlitewrapper.pl line 323 The message is shown by the X2Go-Client on a reconnect, right before the "session-status-info-window" becomes visible. Now at the GUI "Suspend Session" (in German: Anhalten) is selected, after this a reconnect to the session to resume. On clicking "Suspend Session", the error message is shown again. Then the session is selected and "klicked", which results in a "normal" resume of the session, and the remote GUI becomes visible. So it appears to me, there is a consistency issue with the SQLite-DB. I strongly assume, it can be worked-around by recreating the DB, but I would like to sort out the reason, why it came to this status. My questions: Is this issue known? - I did not find anything like this at the bugtracker. What information is needed for further investigations? - The system is still in this state, so we can pull further infos. (Jenkins Question) Rebuilding "main" packages for EPEL 5.

Hi Mike#1 and others, I want to rebuild the "main" packages for EPEL 5 so that we can fix bug #699. I've already rebuilt and tested the "nightly" EPEL 5 packages; bug #699 was successfully fixed on them. However, it appears that in order to rebuild any package for EPEL 5, I must rebuild them for every release of every Linux distro. http://jenkins.x2go.org:8080/view/All%20Releases/?auto_refresh=false Should I just do that via Jenkins? Or would it be disruptive? For example, would users be prompted to update even when they do not have to? I think that would happen for EPEL users at least, because the nightly EPEL 5 nx-libs packages now have "git20141222" in their version strings. (nx-libs.git was last updated 2 weeks ago, but I rebuilt it under nightly on 2014-12-22 (UTC +1:00).) -Mike

There was no name for this project and only one use case. With the first people using it, it started to grow.
