X2Go release: nx-libs (incl. x2goagent) 3.5.0.15 (fixes broken glyphs when resuming)

Dear all, The X2Go Project is very very very proud to announce the release of - nx-libs incl. x2goagent (3.5.0.15) The release fixes the long waited for problem that session resuming is broken since current Linux system have started using libcairo >= 1.12.x. Bug#10: Workaround for dpkg configuring issue

Hello, there is a workaround for this issue. Doing the following to setup x2gognomebindings correct: 1. Install the package from the repository (apt-get install x2gognomebindings) 2. Copy the file gnome-settings-x2go.menu to gnome-settings.menu (cp /etc/xdg/menus/gnome-settings-x2go.menu /etc/xdg/menus/gnome-settings.menu) 3. Install the package again (apt-get install x2gognomebindings, dpkg-reconfigure x2gognomebindings should also work) Note: On Ubuntu base systems do all the commands with sudo That's it than the package gets installed correct and works fine. Package: x2goclient Version: V.3.99.2.2 (Qt - 4.8.1) Severity: wishlist I would like to use x2goclient from behind a firewall without having to setup a tunnel with an external tool. My ssh server is running on port 443. The http method CONNECT can be used to create the connection over the firewall. Please, add proxy support to the x2goclient. Best regards Heinrich Schuchardt

Bug#36: PyHoca resume session which was started on another client/pc

Hi, I have the same issue. I checked the color depth and both systems have 32Bit. I checked the pyhoca settings, both profiles are identically set up. The only difference is that one system is Win 7 64Bit, while the other one is Win7 32Bit. What I see is that on one computer the session name always ends with dp16 and on the other one with dp17. Does this have any meaning? Any idea what can be wrong? Bug#35: On Debian systems (wheezy/sid): Menus in Libreoffice and some other applications are not rendered properly

Package: x2goagent Version: 3.5.0.15 Severity: grave for the record: there currently is a grave bug in Debian testing (forwarded to freedesktop.org) that describes a rendering problem of GTK based application menus. http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=666564 I can reproduce these problems with latest x2goagent version, as well. However, I am not sure, to what respect we can solve this in X2Go. As it is a bug in the Xserver code of Xorg, we finally may have to patch the solution into x2goagent sometime (or search for it by ourselves) but we also may not... Because: the problem does not occur on Ubuntu precise as X2Go Server. It only occurs on Debian wheezy/sid as X2Go Server. This leads me to the conclusion that the issue has to be solved inside Debian and we will be happy in X2Go once that is fixed. This bug is for documenting the progress of the X2Go team and others on this issue. 1. DESKTOP SESSIONS * Menus are rendered ok under Ubuntu precise * Menus are sometimes rendered ok under Debian, sometimes lines are missing 2. ROOTLESS SESSIONS * Libreoffice (from wheezy/sid) does not have any text in the menus at all * On Ubuntu precise Libreoffice looks ok...
