Question: Mac OS X Support? - Mac users, please speak up!

Hi list, I'd like to start a quick and informal poll: From what I can tell, Mac OS X 10.5 is no longer supported by Apple (i.e. no new security fixes will be provided etc.). Miha is currently developing on Mac OS X 10.6, and cross-checking on my Mac Mini with Mac OS X 10.5 to see if everything works there, too. At present, we do not seem to have anybody developing/checking on Mac OS 10.7, which is the current Mac OS X release. If we could agree on dropping support for 10.5, I would upgrade my Mac Mini to 10.7, or, should it turn out to be too slow for 10.7, we might arrange for Miha to upgrade his Mac to 10.7 and I'd upgrade to 10.6. Of course, if the majority of our Mac users is still on 10.5, we'd shoot ourselves in the foot by dropping support for it. So, please speak up and let us know which version you are using, and in what numbers (especially those of you offering commercial support to clients on Mac OS X)! -Stefan

Fedora 17, gnome-shell and no hardware acceleration support.

Hello to all, As by now, Fedora 17 Beta comes with default DE, gnome-shell 3.4, with no hardware acceleration support. You can run Fedora inside a virtual machine and gnome-shell will run without issues... Now, I know that Fedora is not supported by x2go, but still, probably other distributions will follow and will offer the same. Was this the only issue why x2go doesn't work with gnome-shell, or other exists ??? Best regards, Vasilica Petcu

Ok... So I see that my questions turned on the heating :) So let me see if I understand well :) 1) It is possible to restrict users/groups access to "published applications" with Extended Attributes... But I still have a question about that... In a clustered environment, the Extended Attributes on all machine suppose to be the same... right ? 2) User access to only "published applications" can be achieved only if it doesn't exist a Desktop Environment... Patch - Add support for configuring SSH_PORT for x2go agent via config file

Published Applications

Hello to all, Published application, nice feature, huge potential... As I see, the list of published applications, is a link to "/usr/share/applications". 1) Is there a way to so a published applications per user/group. Each group of users should see different "published applications" 2) Is the a way to configure x2oserver to accept only "published applications" without any desktop environment ? For the sake of it, could you please try www.ionic.de/x2goclient-git-8c41c073e2-tiger-1.dmg? It's not meant to be official and I can't test it on 10.4 ppc but from what I see, it should work fine.

Hi devs, due to the current APT transition in Debian: http://release.debian.org/transitions/html/apt.html The X2Go packaging system for Debian can currently not be used on japsand.x2go.org. Reason for this probably is an attempted rebuilt of packaging chroot while this transition was already in process. (Said in short: Mike's fault!). I can still build clean chroot packages locally on my notebook, so while this unpleasant state continues, please let me know whenever you need a package rebuild. X2Go release day: x2goserver, x2goclient (adds support for Published Applications)

Dear all, The X2Go Project is proud to announce two new X2Go component releases: - x2goserver (3.1.1.0) - x2goclient (3.99.2.0) The new packages will be available in our stable repositories (Debian, Ubuntu) within the next 24h. The windows and Mac OS versions of x2goclient will probably be available tomorrow, as well. (PING: @Mihai, @Oleksandr). The Windows binary may get delay a little longer, as we are currently migrating the Windows development machine to another hoster, so we have to ask for your patience here. Hi, This is for Google. I had this error: The remote proxy closed the connection while negotiating the session. This may be due to the wrong authentication credentials passed to the server.
