I see that you have responded but somehow i didn't receive your email that was published on the x2gouserML. Have you guys managed to solve the problem? the way i use to solve the problem is to login as the fault user to postgres and do a delete from mounts. Hi all, thanks to Stefan we have another puzzle piece for making X2Go the non-plus-ultra solution for people offering Linux-SaaS. There now is a new session mode called ,,Published Applications'', sponsored by Stefan Baur. I have had a quick test look at the functionality, so here is a feedback list, also about other issues that I stumble upon while testing: - I use a dark Qt color theme, with a dark color theme some elements of x2goclient are hardly readable on screen: - session profile cards (right column of the screen= - all buttons (suspend, new, terminate, etc.) - also the button that allows me to launch a published application is not readable on screen with my dark theme - when minimizing x2goclient to systray, I see an icon with transparent background and black contours on a black system tray. Thus, I actually see nothing... - Published applications: Some menu entries have icons, some do not. Where do icons come from? Are they transferred from the server? Or are they used from the client-side file system? - x2goclient is configure _not_ to minimize into the systray. After establishing a published application session I see for buttons in the center of the blue window area of x2goclient. The buttons do not fit in there (they overlap). - Is there a concept for evaluating i18n parts of desktop files? Application links appear in English still. - Alex, whenever we are about to release the new code, we should make a call for translation, so that i18n files are updated with the new version So much from the testing front here... BTW: x2goserver installs and uninstalls/purges fine, I added the code in a rush this lunch time, but it seems to work well. John Have you tried the new FreeRDP client <http://www.freerdp.com/> yet? I've not done any extensive testing but it does now support both Microsoft's RemoteFX & RemoteApp services. Its an Apache license app and v1.0 was released and demo'd at the Ubuntu Developer conference in Nov 2011 <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qnh7f36xkRA>. RemoteFX - https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/wiki/RemoteFX and RemoteApp services - https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/wiki/RemoteApp I've configured Windows 2008 r2 servers on KVM and on AWS EC2, published applications for RemoteApp and then from linux/ubuntu machines run the xfreerdp client and the Windows RemoteApp appears on screen like any other app. I used to have to use seamlessrdp for this but now it just works since the freerdp v1.x release. I'd like to see FreeRDP support in x2go as I understand in the next Ubuntu FreeRDP is replacing rdesktop. Brian ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: "John A. Toward the end, you write, "Setting the command to RDP will turn X2Go into an RDP proxy (RDP via NX). RDP will receive a peformance improvement on WAN connections" In our experience, this is true for RDP5 but it significantly degrades the native performance of RDP6 and RDP7. For those wishing to use RDP6 or 7 with Windows XP, TSPlus (www.tsplus.net) makes an XP RDP6/7 client and distributes it freely. I would love to see mimebox included in x2goclient. I know we had planned to write a "multimedia player" to automatically redirect to mimebox similar to the way printing works but have not gotten around to it - still overwhelmed by a large consulting contract completely outside of X2Go :( Thanks again - John

Error/Bug: Arrow keys on keyboard are mismapped

Hello x2go-team and the rest I'm having a problem on my x2goserver, where the arrow keys seems to be mismatched. For example, the downwards arrow key seems to be mapped as enter instead. None of the arrowkeys work properly. The keymap in question is "Keyboard layout da, keyboard model pc105/da" I'm using ubuntu 11.10 64bit on the server side. x2goversions says: cups-x2go: 3.0.0.4 x2goserver: 3.1.0.0 x2goserver-extensions: 3.1.0.0 Client is the latest stable release, also on Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit. If someone can tell me how to go about it, i would love to do more tests to see excactly how the keys are mismatched, and what keys in particular -- Venlig Hilsen / Best Regards Christoffer Krakou Fleten.net APS

Add both parameters out_d and in_d to MakefileGenerator::fileFixify as Option::output_dir to prevent qmake from "fixing" the file path to a path relative from the (out of source) build dir to the source dir, so that exists() can actually find the file where ever it is, specified by the user and relative to the source dir.

Mihai, Thanks for getting back to me promptly. When your x2go osx client is ready for testing please let me know and I would be happy to validate it. Also for the record, I managed to get sound out of a ubuntu server configured with gnome as the window manager. I was originally trying to use openbox and I have had zero luck with either debian or ubuntu as the server. I have not had a chance to try debian with gnome yet, but I would assume that it would work where openbox did not. Again thanks for an amazing product! Thanks Stephanie

pyhoca-gui and pyhoca-cli install no executable

Hi there, I was trying to build pyhoca-gui and pyhoca-cli packages, but the setup.py scripts installed no executables. Here is the package contents, meaning the files getting installed by the setup.py script, which is quite different from what I see in th deb package. OSX Lion Audio question

Hi, First off I want to say thank you for an amazing suite. I've never seen a remote desktop so fast or so beautiful. So I'm trying to use my OSX Lion laptop to connect to two different Linux servers. Everything works except audio. So my question is, with the newest x2goclient for OSX does sound work when connecting to a Debian Squeeze or am I just missing something? Thanks Stephanie
