Package: x2gognomebindings Version: 2.0.1.6-0~64~precise1 The installation of the x2gognomebindings package on Ubuntu 12.04 "precise" fails: dpkg: error processing x2gognomebindings (--configure): subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2 Errors were encountered while processing: x2gognomebindings John Wesorick has already provided a workaround: sudo cp /etc/xdg/menus/gnome-settings-x2go.menu /etc/xdg/menus/gnome-settings.menu sudo apt-get install x2gognomebindings Bug is known since Nov. 2011 thanks a lot, Mark

Bug#46: x2goclient almost unreadable font colors for popup help

Package: x2goclient Version: 3.99.2.2-0~243~precise1 System: XUbuntu 12.04 "precise" Putting the mouse pointer over a session setting, e.g. the screen resolution dropdown menu brings up a little help message. These messages are almost unreadable due to the light grey on yellowish background font color. Please use a higher contrast font here. tnx Mark

SSH Agent (auth+forwarding) support in Python X2Go / PyHoca-GUI

Hi all, during the last couple of days I have added SSH Agent (forwarding+auth) support to Python X2Go (and so to PyHoca-GUI and PyHoca-CLI). The feature is already available in the nightly-build (Debian) archive. The Ubuntu nightly-built packages should follow soon. For SSH agent forwarding you need the not-yet-released Paramiko version 1.8.0. For Debian I have packaged a Git snapshot and it is available with the nightly-build of python-x2go. Try it out: place your SSH pubkey on machine-1 and machine-2 (which can be reached via machine-1) into the (for this demo) otherwise empty files: user-1@machine-1:~user-1/.ssh/authorized_keys and user-2@machine-2:~user-2/.ssh/authorized_keys Back on your local client: $ ssh-add [<priv-keyfile>] $ pyhoca-gui Enable SSH agent forwarding in connection tab of a session profile for machine-1. Use a simple TERMINAL session command. Connect to user-1@machine-1 and start a session on machine-1 $ echo $SSH_AUTH_SOCK /tmp/ssh-<hash>/agent.<pid> $ ssh <user-2>@<machine-2> (should work without password) For the authentication from user-1@machine-1 to user-2@machine-2 you use a SSH agent connection that is tunneled back through Python X2Go to your client machine (the machine you run PyHoca-GUI on). So, the SSH agent on your client machine serves a challenge/response request from SSH client programs within X2Go sessions. Note: if you try the above with a GNOME desktop (XFCE4 probably as well) the gnome-keyring will hijack the SSH agent functionality and ignore forwarded SSH agent connections (with x2goserver-xsession package installed). Use this command to disable SSH agent feature in gnome-keyring (within the X2Go Session): $ gconftool-2 -s /apps/gnome-keyring/daemon-components/ssh false --type bool After you have applied this gconf change, logout and start a new GNOME session. Now SSH agent stuff is handled through ssh-agent and it should also be aware of SSH agent forwarding connections. Have fun! Bug#40: Reproduce

I was asked how to reproduce this bug. I got the problem from a customer who uses a Ubuntu 12.04 laptop as a client (I don't know which client version) and a server with Debian Squeeze and an up-to-date X2go server. I have reproduced it then myself with my personal computer as a client (Debian Squeeze 64-bit with some backports) and a computer of another customer as server (Debian Squeeze 32 bit, up-to-date X2go server). There I could reproduce the bug. Both fullscreen and in a window. What I did is login on the server, change the keyboard settings in Gnome to deadkeys, and test it in the keyboard-settings-window. On non of this computers I use this line in sources.list: deb http://packages.x2go.org/debian squeeze main So no "heuler". With regards, Paul van der Vlis.

Package: x2goclient Version: X2GoClient V. 3.99.3.0 (Qt - 4.8.2) Severity: important Dear maintainer, I have compiled git version origin/master of x2goclient on a vanilla Debian Wheezy i386. Connecting to a SSH server creates an error signal 11 (SIGSEGV) for illegally accessing memory. I ran x2goclient again with valgrind. Please, find the output in the appendix. Hello list, Last time I made many changes in code of X2Go Client. New Features: -Support for SSH Proxy (HTTP-Proxy was developed by <Heinrich Schuchardt> xypron.glpk(a)gmx.de) -Support for SSH broker -Some improvements in common broker code -better support for encrypted SSH-Key -improvements in SSH connection classes -hide system tray icon before closing client etc. I have also wrote some documentation which can help you by developing your own X2Go broker. Mike will edit it and publish on X2Go Wiki soon. x2go unmount dirs problem?

Hi dear fellows. I've been getting a error with x2go when umounting spool dir ERROR: failed to unmount /tmp/.x2go-hteles/spool/C- hteles-50-1349111442_stDKDE_dp16 I don't know when it started, but i'm having the same issue in kubuntu 10.04.1 fully updated and also on a kubuntu 12.10 testing machine. Do any of you guys can reproduce the problem? Also after resuming a session i get a kdialog windows with the same error? At first i thought that was my problem since i'm tinkering with x2goextensions and debugin scripts to do some stuff, but i then installed two new vm's with no tampering ant the problem still persists. All of this running stable ppa.
