x2go client for mac osx

Hi, Is there somebody with x2go client working in MAC OS X Leopard or Snow Leopard? I have try in two different mac box and I always get the same message info "Can't connect to X-Server. Please check your settings". In settings looks like all ok (path to X11.app in mac osx is ok and verify it got right permissions). X-Server in both macs are installed and running. I have try to connect to nomachine linux server and X works fine. Some tips? Regards, Ricardo Díaz

sound on x2gothinclient

Hi, following the manual for Debian Lenny I have set up a x2gothinclient, but I can't get the sound to work. Any hints how to debug this problem? alsa recognizes the soundcard, it is supportet by the running linux kernel. Is it correct that there is not a single pulseaudio package installed inside the chroot? Regards, -- .''`. x2goclient and ssh-agent

Hello, is there a way to use x2goclient with ssh-agent(1)? i am using ssh-agent with my etoken to login via nxclient on some machines. is this possible with x2goclient? i've started x2goclient from the same shell where a ssh login to the remote server worked with agent auth. but x2goclient seems not to use the running ssh-agent. thanks for any help. heiko

plugin is crashing firefox on Ubuntu 10.04 i386

Installation went fine. When trying to connect to the test server the browser (firefox 3.6.6) is crashing with the following error: firefox-bin: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0. firefox-bin: ../../src/xcb_io.c:249: process_responses: Assertion `(((long) (dpy->last_request_read) - (long) (dpy->request)) <= 0)' failed. Aborted firefox-bin: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0. creating a new firefox profile did not work. any other ideas? Soeren

Windows client crashing on WinXP

I just found out about the project and I've setup the server on a debian lenny install @ home. grabbed the windows client (Version 3.01-4) to connect from my windows XP install @ work, and the client crashes before it even asks to authenticate the server key. Been trying different things for a while now, with no results. First a message pops up saying the connection timed out. When I click the OK button or after a few seconds, the windows "program crashed" dialog shows up and terminates the application. I have a linux install inside a VM, I tried the gtk client there, and it works... I can connect just fine. But the windows client is not working for me. Any ideas how to fix it? or debug it?\ Any help is appreciated Thanks

Recommendation for mass conncections

We're an educational testing Center (http://www.nite.org.il/index.php/en.html) In the course of evaluating x2go as a possible solution for online testing, we're grappling with the issue of authentication. We need to establish a procedure by which each student has credentials on the server (by some automatic procedure which we still have to implement) and have each student authenticated at login either via user/password or public key. Since the test is one single application, there is no need for a desktop. It appears that providing each student with a username and password on the system is overkill. After all, she will only have to be authenticated once or twice to be tested by the application and then the authentication is expired. We'd greatly appreciate some advice or pointers on which authentication route to pursue for our needs. Thanks, Yitzhak

Heinz, I went looking for the source code at http://git.x2go.org/ today but there is nothing there. Is the source code at some other URL? I think a lot of questions could be answered and good contributions suggested if the source was readily available which it should be since x2go is linking NX GPL-v2 libraries. Gerry

Bouncing firefox plugin

We have had some complaints from clients in the last few days where they have installed a fresh copy of firefox and then the latest plugin and the login screen bounces up and down unusably. That is, the blue login area drops below the black background and then back up again. There is apparently some known issue with the latest Firefox on sub-10" screens where this is a problem with Firefox. However, one client has experienced it on two normal sized laptops and we've not heard about the Firefox problem affecting those. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix or workaround?
