x2gosessionlimit and user limits

Hello, all. We're finally starting to work our way thoroughly through the x2go scripts and were a little confused by x2gosessionlimit. Given the following logic: my $runningsessions=`x2golistsessions --all-servers`; my @sessions=split("\n",$runningsessions); my $scount=@sessions; my $strlimit=$Config->param("limit users.$uname"); if($strlimit ne "") { if($strlimit == 0) { print "0\n"; exit 0; } if($strlimit <= $scount) { print "$strlimit\n"; exit 0; } print "$strlimit\n"; exit 0; } If a user is limited to the 3 sessions and x2golistsessions returns 1, $strlimit is ne "" so we will enter the block. It is neither 0 nor <= 1 so we will print "3\n". Doesn't this cause x2gostartagent to exit with an error? cups-x2go for multiple X2Go Servers

Hello, all. I'm stumbling through how to have a central cups server provide cups-x2go printing for multiple X2Go Servers. It seems the cups-x2go backend looks to the cups-x2go.conf file to specify the X2Go Server and only accommodates a single server. We want it to service hundreds or more. I see that the cups-x2go backend takes "cups-x2go job-id user title copies options [file]" as arguments. My current endeavor is to query the sessions database for the user to find the server but that presents the problem of when a user may have sessions on multiple servers. Is there any way to pass (even by hacking the code) the hostname of the originating X2Go Server as an argument? That would eliminate the need for the database call and make it more foolproof. Thanks - John PS - it looks like I've been able to move the x2gocleansessions processing to a central process for cleaning up hundreds of X2GoServers in a VServer 1-to-1 environment. As soon as I steer clear, I'll post the patches and documentation - John

Single application sessions terminate with certain mouse movements

Hello list, I'm having a strange problem with x2go in single application mode. Whenever I start an application and I move my mouse from within the application 'up' to the window decoration the session gets terminated on the client side. I can reconnect to the program, but it will crash again if I do the same mouse movement. I have tried this with GTK programs, xterm and xcalc and the situation remains the same. My setup is Debian Sid x86_64 with windowmaker. The problem also occurs when using blackbox. Could someone perhaps tell me what I can do to debug this further? Thanks! Hein-Pieter van Braam

x2gocleansessions order change?

Hello, all. I'm working on adapting the x2gocleansessions script to handle session cleanup from a VServer host for all of its guests. In working my way through the script, something seemed a bit strange. It looks like we attempt to delete sessions with a status of "F" before we delete the mounts for that sections which leads to a foreign key constraint violation. Shouldn't the rmsessionsroot call in x2golistsessions_sql be broken out separately and executed after x2goumount_session? I'd imagine there's something I'm missing but thought I'd at least ask. I'll submit the patches and documentation once I've got it working. Thanks - John

BUG: bash login shell required ...

the session management will fail if you connect to a X2Go server and your default login shell deviates from a BASH. reason: any client tries to export the host environment variable before it starts x2glistsession. export only works for BASH and not e.g. for tcsh. if someone is responding to that bug-report i can offer a workaround .. (i just want to find out if someone is interested in ;) cheers armin

Copy & Paste from between windows client and x2go server

I have installed x2go server on my ubuntu machine, and a windows client, x2goclient-3.01-4-setup.exe. Everything works perfectly except for one: I couldn't copy & paste text between windows and my ubuntu gnome desktop. Is this a feature not included in the x2go or I missed something? Thanks... Shared print server for multiple X2Go Servers

Hello, all. We were hoping to run a central print server for potentially hundreds of X2Go Servers. However, we found that the print server cups-x2go driver did not send the print job to the X2Go Server unless we changed the x2goserver setting in cups-x2go.conf from local to the specific x2go server. From a brief look at the cups-x2go backend, this seems to be the expected behavior. How would one share a print server among multiple x2go servers? Thanks - John

Session Status flags

Hello, all. I'm trying to dissect and document the X2Go session setup and management. What do the various session status flags mean? I assume R is running and S is suspended. What is F? Are there any other flags? Thanks - John
