sessions suspending

I started multiple sessions for the same user this morning. Then later in the afternoon all of the sessions show as suspended. What is causing this? Is there some automatic session timeout limit? Regards, Gerry

How to track an x2go issue/bug?

Hi, Thanks for all your efforts on x2go. I've worked out that connecting to the same host (127.0.0.1, localhost, 10.n.n.n/192.168.n.n or <hostname>) is not currently supported. I am struggling to find out how to track this issue so that when it is resolved I can return to x2go and drop neatx. Appreciate any pointers to an issue or bug tracker. Frequent crashes in XMing

Hi List, We have setup x2go and are testing the whole setup. We are using multiwindow rootless setup. So this means that the normal Windows desktop is leading and starting the application results in standard MS-Windows Windows being opened. When we are using this setup, we are experiencing frequent crashes in XMing. As a matter of fact the crashes occur so frequently that the whole setup is useless (At least one crash per hour). So if anyone knows what to do about these problems I would be VERY happy. As a suggestion that I haven't tried yet; could it be that the parameters that are passed to XMing conflict? I read the documentation of XMing and there seems to be an xmingrc which could also be used for entering parameters. I do not find that in the xming directory of x2go. Us international keyboard

Hi there, We are currently testing our application that is distributed by x2go. However we always get the us keyboard instead of the us-international keyboard. Whether I set the keyboard to us-intl or tell x2go to use the local keyboard I always get the us keyboard. Because of that, we don't have a Euro sign and also the é and è that are use in the Netherlands are not available. Has anyone seen this behaviour? The Vanishing Mouse

Hello all, it was reported on the list a while ago that somebody was having an issue where the mouse pointer within the X2GO session would disappear. Well, I finally managed to get the same thing to happen to me this morning while running X2GO under Windows XP Pro. Even suspending the session and re-connecting does not resolve the problem. The issue appears to be the version of Xming that is being distributed with X2GO. Why do I think this ? I suspended my session again and then killed of Xming via task manager. This caused the X2GO plugin to fail for which I created a new FF tab and reconnected. I connected straight back to the same session and X instance as before and my mouse pointer was back in the land of the living. The question is though how can we resolve this problem ? The 6.9 version of Xming that is shipped with X2GO is ~3 years out of date now, and to get the new 7.5 branch one has to subscribe. Hmmm, this would be fine for a couple of users but when we may be handling 100,000 of them it would get a bit pricey :( Any thoughts on what can be done ? -- Thanks, Phil

reason for keeping session dirs in .x2go folder

hi folks, we have discussed this earlier, but I think there was no real common opinion afterwards.... On X2go server and client each session produces its own session directory in the ~/.x2go directory. From the perspective of the X2go client: is there a proper reason to keep these session directories (apart from debugging)??? I am asking because I plan to integrate session-dir-purging-support into Python X2go: after a session has been suspended/terminated the session dir on the client will be deleted. Any comments? Python X2go - rev SSH tunnel + pulse audio support added

Dear list, as I am really interested in feedback... I have added SSH reverse tunneling support to the X2go client implementation library named Python X2go and that made it possible/and very easy to provide pulse audio support with Python X2go already. The Python X2go module can be tested with the PyHoca Client. Also the project homepage is now in English. http://das-netzwerkteam.de/site/?q=node/71 The Python X2go API implementation can be found here (feedback, typos etc. are welcome, also patches or collaboration): http://packages.das-netzwerkteam.de/doc/python-x2go/ I am currently building .deb-Packages for Ubuntu lucid only, but maybe some of you have a Ubuntu lucid system around. You can install the packages from deb http://packages.das-netzwerkteam.de/ubuntu lucid main with: $ apt-get install python-x2go $ apt-get install pyhoca-cli You can start the pyhoca-cli with: $ pyhoca-cli --server <hostname> --command GNOME or a bit more verbose: $ pyhoca-cli --server <hostname> --command GNOME --debug --libdebug The X2go server <hostname> must be in your known_hosts file, also the ~/.ssh/config file is considered before building up the connection.
