It works OK on Linux, but not on Windows. It simply does not start a session. I am able to authenticate, but when I start a session it doesn't do a thing. Weird though is that it looks like a problem with the X-server, because at a certain moment I removed VcXsrv and then it did start with XMing which was also installed. The issue occurs both on Windows XP and on Windows 7.

If yes: please make sure that either Xming 6.9.x, Cygwin/X or the very latest VcXsrv is also installed. It is also recommended to install Ghostscript/Ghostgum on the client (for PDF handling of incoming printjobs). If you start pyhoca-gui from the command line, please make sure you use at least the following options: pyhoca-gui.exe --start-xserver --start-pulseaudio --quiet If you follow these instructions, do you still observe the same issue?

If you start VcXsrv manually, please do not use --start-xserver but instead use --display localhost:0 when starting PyHoca-GUI.

Please take a look at ~/.x2goclient/xconfig and make sure that the VcXsrv.exe application path is currect. Does VcXsrv start after this fix? What path is VcXsrv installed on Windows 7???

So, alternatively, please take a look at %TEMP%\. There should be some log files then (your report confirms that the log file redirect works properly on Windows 7 ;-) )
