This is to announce a new Windows-specific release of the X2Go component ,,pyhoca-gui''

This is the release of PyHoca-GUI 0.5.0.4 for Windows.

The last official release of PyHoca-GUI for Windows was 0.4.0.8. Several major improvements have been made between 0.4.0.x and 0.5.0.x. You can read about them here:

Note that that several 3rd party libraries & executables that are bundled with PyHoca-GUI have received security updates compared to their versions in PyHoca-GUI for Windows 0.4.0.8. In particular:

o Windows: Upgrade VcXsrv from 1.14.2.0 to 1.15.2.2-xp+vc2013+x2go1 This new major version includes security fixes such as: OpenSSL update to 1.0.1k xorg-server CVE-2014-8091..8103 fixes

As with most vulnerabilities in 3rd party software, the X2Go project has not done an analysis of whether PyHoca-GUI was actually affected by these vulnerabilities. However, unless unless an analysis is performed for each vulnerability, we strongly encourage all users to update.
