Dear Developers,
dear friends of ΞX2Go!
This year's community event will take place in Treuchtlingen.
It is my pleasure to invite all developers and friends to visit
this little franconian town.
Once again - as we did last year - we will meet for 3 days to
hack, discuss and have fun.
X2Go was born in 2006 in Treuchtlingen.
For our developers, we have reserved a hotel that is not far from the
venue. Wi-Fi will be available. The reservation is valid until February
18th.
Thus, please declare your participation on our wiki page so that we can
make use of this reservation. Other accommodations in Treuchtlingen
are available, but it would be great to stay together.
Participation list including preliminary schedule and travelling
information:
http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/events:x2go-gathering-2015
Please stay tuned for further information!
Regards,
Heinz

Hi everyone,
this is to announce a new OS X build of x2goclient.
Note that the first build of X2Go Client 4.0.3.1 for OS X was
4.0.3.1-20150110. The changes are relative to that release.
Changes since 4.0.3.1-20150110 are:
- Update libssh from 0.6.3 to 0.6.4. This fixes CVE-2014-8132.
According to [1], this did not affect x2goclient, because it does not
use libssh's SSH server functionality. libssh 0.6.4 also added
4 features related to ECDSA keys.
As in [1], we strongly encourage all users to update to this new build.
The new build is available from
http://code.x2go.org/releases/binary-macosx/x2goclient/releases/4.0.3.1/x2g…
A detached PGP signature made with my key and checksums are available
from

The key is available via HTTPS from

Dear all,
This is to announce a new Windows-specific release of the X2Go
component ,,pyhoca-gui''
This is the release of PyHoca-GUI 0.5.0.4 for Windows.
The last official release of PyHoca-GUI for Windows was 0.4.0.8.
Several major improvements have been made between 0.4.0.x and 0.5.0.x.
You can read about them here:
http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.linux.terminal-server.x2go.announce/132
You can also read about noteworthy Windows-specific bug fixes since
0.4.0.8 here:
http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/doc:release-notes-mswin:pyhoca-gui-0.5.0.4?&#…
Note that that several 3rd party libraries & executables that are
bundled with PyHoca-GUI have received security updates compared to
their versions in PyHoca-GUI for Windows 0.4.0.8. In particular:
o Windows: Upgrade VcXsrv from 1.14.2.0 to 1.15.2.2-xp+vc2013+x2go1
This new major version includes security fixes such as:
OpenSSL update to 1.0.1k
xorg-server CVE-2014-8091..8103 fixes
As with most vulnerabilities in 3rd party software, the X2Go project
has not done an analysis of whether PyHoca-GUI was actually affected
by these vulnerabilities. However, unless unless an analysis is
performed for each vulnerability, we strongly encourage all users to
update.
For the Windows-specific release notes for this release, see this page:
http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/doc:release-notes-mswin:pyhoca-gui-0.5.0.4
Regards,
Mike DePaulo
