I have seen this once or twice, but it was not reproducible.
What are your settings for SSH authentication in the session profile
configuration? Can you make a screenshot?
Is ssh-agent running and have you loaded your SSH private keys into
ssh-agent? Or does pyhoca-gui try to detect some default private key
file in ~/.ssh?
What hostkey types are configured on the X2Go Server (check
/etc/ssh/sshd_config, HostKey parameter).
