Ok, this lead me to inspect if there's a difference in the package versions I 
use in the different environments. I have one tce-installation which works and 
one Installation on a local media with an window-manager (fluxbox) which 
produces the same error like your setup.

But both of my installations use the same packages:

x2gocdmanager	1.0.1.6-0~x2go2+squeeze~main~306~build1
x2goclient	3.99.1.1-0~x2go1+squeeze~main~194~build1	
x2gousbmount	1.0.1.6-0~x2go2+squeeze~main~306~build1

So for me it looks like it depends on something else.
